The Atlanta Braves - Hello darkness my old friend

Why do we have different colored carpet but no difference in texture? It’s not like the outfielders are looking down
So a fake warning track that would help player safety safety but we need real dirt in the infield for no apparent reason. BRILLIANT!

Someone said James Wood's BABIP was pretty high and we would see some regression. Can't remember who that was....

Nationals just surrendered 56 hits in a 3 game sweep.

79 hits over our last 5 games.

Outscored 54-19 over that stretch.

Glad Eli Willits is so young though.

Split is A+
690 average spin rate on his splitter today. For reference, Logan Gilbert is thought to have the best splitter in the majors right now, and his average spin rate on his splitter this year is 725.

And looking at his minor league starts, his splitter has been in that general range all season.

Nice. The swings and reactions tell you all you need to know. If he can locate 95-96 he can be pretty good

Yeah location and command are key for him. His command has always been really bad which is why you'll see him look like a stud one start and the next start you wonder what anyone saw in him.

I still think he's probably a future reliever, but there is no hurt in letting him figure things out in the majors the rest of this season.
