I doubt it. I think his Toronto experience really affected him.2021 migthve been the worst thing to happen to Alex.
If he never wins that WS picking up bums, I think he spends more aggressively.
Based on?

If we don't win the WS in 2021, he's probably out at the end of this season along with Snit. Especially since the Mikey and Riley contracts are starting to look like bad ones. Even the "he's signed all these great players to team-friendly long-term contracts" is much weaker than it used to be.
Just my opinion based on how Alex has acted these past couple years. He keeps trying the trash pile hoping to strike gold again.Yeah that darned ole WS, who wants that?
I think he has a gap between what we're spending and the upper limit of a budget, and he's choosing not to spend it.Y’all stay angry at AA, which is an ok position given how he mismanages the things he does control. But he doesn’t control the budget or FA avoidance. That’s his corporate overlords.
He’s 6’7 and plenty athletic, but not sure what correlation is as he’s just a different player than the guys you mentioned. What hes on pace for at 22 is gonna put him in a different category. He’s just scratching the surfaceHe is really good. He's carrying a pretty high BABIP for a guy that K's as much as he does and isn't a super athletic freak like Acuna/De la Cruz/etc. But at minimum, he looks like he is gonna be a Matt Olson type of hitter.
