Pitino is an unbelievable coach. This is a hot take to many, but what he's done is just as impressive it its own way of what the legends of the game have done.

He's won 2 titles at 2 different schools. Made a FF at a mid-major (Providence) and 7 FFs total. Completely resurrected a St John's program that has some history but had been dead and buried for some time. He even had one good year as an NBA coach. That isn't easy to do. The Urban Meyer of college hoops. Huge, repeated personal failings, but an incredible basketball coach. His coaching tree is incredible too.

Kansas and St Johns winner I think can get to the FF. Both of those school will have to coaching advantage over Golden, imo
