The Atlanta Braves - Hello darkness my old friend

It was his processing speed overall that we really miss (knowing when to tuck it and run is certainly part of that).

It's so sad to see a guy with all the physical tools in the world and not being able to effectively/efficiently use them.

At least with Joe’s it’s not a work ethic thing. Playing QB is extremely hard. It’s why there are only 15 good ones in the NFL

True. If anything, Joe wants it too much and psychs himself out.

While I don't doubt his work ethic, Joe does strike me as a guy who got to where he is mostly on physical talents (his arm being prime among them), and perhaps doesn't have the football IQ and situational awareness needed to play the position at a high level because it hasn't really been an area of focus.

It's like in HS, recruiting camps, offseason camps, etc., he shows up and everyone is mesmerized by the arm, and every other attribute/skill associated with playing the position gets overlooked.

The problem Nico is going to have is that all the fans who want him in now are expecting him to run the offense as well as Hooker did the instant he steps out there, and they’re going to send him to Guarantano Bay like they’ve done to Joe when it doesn’t happen. Then they’ll start attacking Heupel too.
