For me, it changes it in the way playing fantasy football for money does. Makes me pay a lot more attention to games I ordinarily wouldn't. Whether that is good or bad, mostly depends on results lol.

Also, don’t bet every day. Choose spots, don’t force them. Yesterdays slate was horrendous and overly priced/juiced to match.
