I think Newk sucks and I still agree with this. We’ve already destroyed most of their value anyways. May as well see if they can be help in the bullpen instead of rolling out these bums who have proved they don’t cut it.I'm tired of the Tomlin, Santana, Greene, Chavez retreads when we have young arms that can do better or just as good while getting experience. So what if they lack control; with Snit they only see one inning anyway! Give me Touki, Bryce, Sean, etc., and turn them loose.
i also think our rotating door with Gwinnett hurts the confidence of these guys. I understand a spot start might be needed, but constant up and down is ridiculous just because they have “options”. Our veterans have to stay up because they have no options and our young guns are getting short on options which hurts their potential trade valueI think Newk sucks and I still agree with this. Ronald and Fred did their part. Outside of them and Matzek, yesterday was a dumpster fire of the highest order. The issue I have is just more lack of urgency this year. You have got six games to make some ground up. You come off a monster comeback win at home. You go to the second worst team in the NL and you get blown out by freaking 10. That can’t happen man. That’s on the manager and the vets. Ronnie, Fred, Oz, Dans, Fried…You can’t come out flat

.389/.492/.537 1.029 OPS Over his last 15, including multiple hits in the game in question.
I think the point you’re trying to make is that it’s great to have an even keel guy or two to keep the ship steady but when you’re playing 162 games you need more fire than lassez faire.I think you’re missing the overall point. Production isn’t necessarily the problem. I’m not saying Ronnie or Fred or Oz are playing bad. But we are way too inconsistent. We score 20 against the Mets, then score 5 runs the next three games. We have a huge comeback win, then we get blown by 10 by freaking Pittsburgh. We don’t sweep anyone. We don’t take 5 out of 6.
I don’t see the correlation. How is this on the only 2 players wroth a crap? Aside from OzzieI think you’re missing the overall point. Production isn’t necessarily the problem. This is real and is a thing. Wasn’t really a problem last year, what changed? Ozuna being terrible on and off the field? TDA going down?I think the point you’re trying to make is that it’s great to have an even keel guy or two to keep the ship steady but when you’re playing 162 games you need more fire than lassez faire.
I think Ronald and Dansby are the only two hyper competitive guys and Dansby isn’t carrying his weight and Ronald still has a little immaturity in his game. Freddie is more whatever happens happens we’ll get em tomorrow and Ozzie/Riley are more laid back. The other 3 lineup spots have been a revolving door of nothing significant.
Nothing wrong with any of the personalities individually but the mix and cohesion certainly doesn’t seem to be right.
