It's ironic that in this post-steroid era the league leaders in HRs aren't hitting as many as they were 20 years ago, but collectively more HRs are being hit today than ever before and more runs are scored via HRs than ever before.

As far as juicing, does anybody have any thoughts on if it helps a hitter more than a pitcher? When people talk steroids in baseball the discussion immediately goes to power hitting, HR totals, and how it affected offensive stats, but it isn't like pitchers didn't/don't juice. In fact, if anything it seems like juicing would be more tempting for a pitcher more than it would a hitter simply because of the tremendous repetitive strain pitching puts on your shoulder/elbow/arm.
