As hard as it is too believe, Chadwell is not actively seeking the job. Price has talked to Chadwell and Chadwell didn’t shoot it down (he is a smart guy). Leverage is always good.

He LOVES his next years team and knows they can do some serious damage and he will have options. This is all coming from one of Chadwell’s best friends. But he did say that he would have “to see it to believe it” re: Chadwell turning it down or not having interest. Sooo who knows. Admittedly tough to believe but thought I’d pass along anyway.

I really don’t think so man. Maybe it’s wishful thinking. If they hire a firm and/or do an extensive, exhaustive search and circle around back to that guy... just terrible optics. Also, I really think they are afraid of the fan blowback. Seems they would’ve just riper the bandaid off and promoted Steele after canning Pruitt.

That’s my thinking as well. If Steele was gonna be the guy he would have been announced today so he can get a head start on recruiting.

Yup. Steele is the low hanging fruit for a lot of the media. A relatively safe hedge. It’s not happening.

Well he hasn't seriously been considered for a HC position (other than the Barn this year) in the 18 years since. That tells you all you need to know
