Jmo, but I believe that Abramovich is to blame for the debacle that has been this season for Chelsea. He panicked and fired RDM because they were on the verge of being knocked out of UCL (and were). Not only that, but he goes and hires RB, who most Chelsea fans loathe.

i completely agree, it's all on roman, but that's the life of a chelsea fan

it's roman's world...we're just living in it

Guzan playing a hell of a match so far, unfortunately his center halves not doing him any favors, giving up an easy goal to Tevez. Villa 0-1 City

You guys still have a solid chance, imo. The Nou Camp is a tough place to win, though I do think the task will be challenging for Barca.

Been stressed enough ITT, if Milan scores even one goal, it's probably over, and Barca can't get consistent play out of the center halves. A Messi hat trick will probably be required to move on.

GGMU for today

I just don't think we can prevent them from scoring unless they go Mourinho-Inter Milan on us and literally pack the whole team in their half, which worked. If they do that, I can't see us getting two past them with how we have been playing.

Where does UEFA get these referees, anyway? That may be the most incompetently called game I've ever seen.

So how harsh was the red to Nani? I couldn't watch but was just following along to a Gamecast type system and they seemed to insinuate that it only should have been yellow.

I'm not ever sure it should have been a yellow. He was clearly going for the ball and happened to run into Arbeloa

Went back and caught the highlight.

From the looks of things, I'd say Madrid probably played well enough to move on, Modric in particular was outstanding, but the red on Nani was totally inexcusable. No way he could have seen Arbeloa.

That's disappointing. I hate United and probably would have been pulling for Madrid had I been watching but I hate to hear it turned on a terrible call.

Congrats to Madrid.

I'm a United fan, so this post may contain some bias.

The red, imo, was horse shyt. He was going for the ball. Not only that, but there were two instances where United should have received a penalty (Welbeck being shoved down by Ramos in the box and a hand ball). Without the red card on Nani, United most likely advances. They were well in control of the match until that call. You don't make that call under any circumstance, but especially not in a match of that magnitude. With thirty minutes to play, that official all but sealed our fate. That was too long to hold on against such a great attacking side down a man. Props to United for not giving up. Some United fans will blame SAF for starting Nani over Rooney, but let's not forget that Nani created the goal. Without him, we might not have scored. I'm in the camp that thinks Rooney should have started, but I hold no anger towards Nani because it's not his fault the match official isn't qualified to officiate in the TSSAA.

Well you took my rant. I have never seen home cooking on an away game.

He was going for the ball. It was a yellow at worst.
