I think this game will provide a good comparison of Pruitt v Pittman. A contrast in styles. Pittman, in his first year taking over a team that had lost 20 straight SEC games has the Arkansas team clearly buying into whatever it is that Pittman is selling.
By contrast, Pruitt is has taken a different approach. He clearly thought the team he inherited in year one wasn’t going to be able to play the way he wanted to play, so he really didn’t try to get any buy in. On record during the year, he said he would need a couple of recruiting cycles to get competitive. Year 3 certainly has not shown much improvement. A loss today, in my view, is a direct blow to Pruitts ability to be a head coach.
