99% the fact of having to hear crap from people. Ever since I made the decision to quick talking trash to people, life has been so much easier. Yea it tears your heart out to loose, but it makes it so much worse when you have made a bed of trash talking you have to lay down in.

I appreciate your class and I agree completely with your approach to "trash talking".

I am doing my best not to let my ban finger get too hair triggered. :)

The thing is, I think most people will even tolerate trash talking as long as it's decent trash talk.

My brother in law is one of the biggest Vol fans I know. We couldn't even handle just a little bit of razzing from one another. We would both blow our tops! Anyway about 4-5 yrs ago maybe we called a truce. He NEVER talks trash about Bama at anytime when around me, and I NEVER trash talk UT when around him.

At certain times we will be out together and someone Bama fan friend of ours will come up and start talking trash. Most of the time I look at him and say do it up, I understand. He even says stuff like this is not meant for you David. LOL!

Anyway some may argue it's part of the fun, but for me it's agony and I have much more fun keeping my anger/joy inside when around people I may offend with trash talk.

We are all human and in the end we will all die. Football will not matter. What we do for God will be all that matters. :thumbsup:

I am a Bama fan and I know what you mean about classless fans, but every school in the SEC has classless fans, including Tennessee. They are like shirttail relatives, you can't do anything except put up with it.

Tennessee has won 10 of the last 12 years we have played, and it is statistically impossible for Tennessee to win all the time. For the record, ya'll lost. We beat you like a drum. Take your medicine!

I was in the stadium the first time 'Bama beat us and they were absolutely horrible! My wife was in fear for her personal safety, and we were in our own stadium. What is it the classless b@#%*ds chant after a win? Something that ends with you just got beat by 'Bama. It's hard to understand.:no: AROUND THE BOWL AND OUT THE HOLE, ROLL TIDE!!!:clapping:

I was impressed with the Vols we met before the game. We drank and laughed in the pre-game tent. Bama fans have idiots just like every other SEC school. I saw the jumpsuit #1 Vol fan guy again saturday...you gotta love his dedication. I sat by him at a UT vs Auburn game way back in the mid eighties so he gets a pass with me. I hate Tennessee for 7 days a year. This is the first day back to not hating until next year. I lived in Knoxville for two football seasons and was fortunate enough to attend several games at Neyland.
The walk down the hill from the bars pre-game is electric. The smell of autumn the leaves changing colors the sea of orange when you come thru the portal IS college football. Neyland is the second best place to watch football in the country...and I have to say that. We are thinking about coming to the SC game because we are off this week. I will drive 5 hours to see a team play that I just hated for a week because it IS SEC football.

I have been a Die-Hard Bama fan for 37 years. Through the "Glory Days" when The words Bama Football struck fear in the minds of some, but respect from everyone---to watching the program crumble over the last 15 years. Saban has brought much more to the bama Nation, than simply coaching our players. He has brought hope, and excitement, which we havent had here since Stallings left. The Bama fans know how most of you feel, being unhappy with your current coaching staff, and with the path that your program is going, so with that I am wishing you good luck with the rest of the season, and in hiring a successful coaching staff if that is indeed what happens at the end of the season, because the 3rd Saturday in October means so much to our programs, and when The Crimson and The Big Orange meet again, I want both teams to be on top of their games. Roll Tide!

I can say with all honesty that I didnt call any of my UT friends or family, or say anything to them. I actually had some call me and tell me congrats. I thanked them and basically said you never know when these 2 teams get together.

I for one HATE it when people do that and I try and not do it to anybody else. Granted I have went off at the mouth when provoked, but I usually am good about keeping my mouth shut.

Why? Because I know what goes around, comes around. Every year it will go one way. Either Bama will win or the Vols will win. With the Vols winning the last 10 of 13 I choose to keep it zipped.

For the record I say ban the trolls!

I like this rolltiderev guy. as a person, not as a bama fan....he's one of 3 bama fans i know that have class....thanks rev., for not being a huge zit on the butt of bama football...they have enough zits already.
