If Butch remains in place to make that trip, the all-time margin of victory record (51) in the rivalry will be very much at risk. But beyond the scoreboard, what a horrible event in the history of this proud program. Not only will nobody make the trip to support the team, but you'll have many Vol fans who will refuse to watch back home.

The locker room is in chaos already. Regardless of what happens against a meh SC squad....those savages down in Tuscaloosa will provide an all-time blackeye to this program, unless change occurs before. It would be nice to look for bright spots and fight among a team that is liberated from the current fog, playing for the future and some BO pride. Even if (when) they blow the doors off this Vols team in 2 weeks, fans could take some heart in at least the move has occurred.

Waiting for a 63-7 type embarrassment vs Bama to make the inevitable change will only make this entire ordeal more difficult. Just watch.

I'm just wondering what the morons in the administration are waiting for?

John Currie:

1. Fire this clown already.

2. Get on the phone with Chip Kelly.

What are you waiting for?

Like the last 10 years of embarrassment at the hands of bama haven't been a black-eye to the program?

Lose a record-tying 11th straight by a record-setting margin to the program's deepest rival, leading to a coach firing the next morning....and get back to me.

Honestly, losing to Vandy and SC were worse, not to mention the 41-0 throttling we just endured.

Bama does this to everyone, not just us

You think we'll score 7 on them after what GA's defense did to us?

I'll be surprised if the spread isn't at least 27, and I think most people will take Bama.... and win.

Its gonna be rough. Alabama fans literally talk zero trash anymore. They simply smile and nod at the mention of Tennessee football.

Early lines available have Bama -35. Vegas will really be forced to stretch to get equal money on the Vols.

Probably looking at the largest spread in the modern era of Tennessee football.

However, Saban will approach this game like a scrimmage, similar to what he would do for a McNeese State and they'll win about 42-3.

Thanks Butch.

They scored 0 against GA at home, you think they will score 7 against Bama on the road?

Thanks Butch.

Unfortunately, he's followed this script the past 2 games. Hurts didn't play beyond the first 3Q possession, and the OL or top 2 backs didn't play after the second. The backup QB, OL, and backs/wrs were all better than anything Vandy or OM had, and scored at will.

Great Tua is going to come in...

Alabama will beat us 80-0 if they want to, and I mean that quite literally. The good news is Saban isn't one to run up the score (It's our own fault if we can't stop the backups like Vandy and Ole Miss couldn't). Either way, it isn't going to be pretty.
