Tennessee Tech one year, ETSU the next. JUst when you get the #1 spot back.

I stand corrected, we did lose to Tech two years ago, so we lost the bat game in ‘22 and again the next season.

In fairness, Bragga didn't do well leaving Tech for Rice, but when he is at the helm for Tech, they're usually a pretty good program. I get trying the other side, especially all the years he put in at TEch, and you get to the Supers and give Texas all they can handle and force 3 games, then Rice comes calling trying to revive their old glory, and the money etc, etc. ...But he had built a solid thing at Tech. Even the Bama assistant they brought in to replace him didn't do what Bragga had done. So when he got moved on, they brought Bragga back. And in his 2nd returned season, already has them back to form. Sometimes magic has one place for a coach. It doesn't surprise me they knock off UT occasionally. They do the same to Vandy fairly regular. If it had been Tech and not ETSU, it would have been less surprising.

They give athletic scholarships to anyone at Rice ;)

I remember when GT was in the CWS years ago, and single panel cartoonist made fun of the sound of aluminum bats. A GT player was always at bat in those cartoons.
