Or what's your theory, Einstein? How did it work for aTm and nobody else? BS....... just BS.

If you don’t believe that refs call it differently based on home vs away then something is wrong. If you don’t believe what may be a foul one night then not get called then next night doesn’t happen then I’m sorry for cluttering up this thread by responding to your nonsense. Carry on.

If your strategy is to play inside and drive to the rim, then anytime you get fouls called on the other team you're by definition getting favorable calls. In no way does making that statement imply foul play or cheating or a conspiracy by the officials.

In 2018-19 during Grant's last year we had 11 games where we shot 25 or more free throws, on the season we averaged 20.1 FTAs per game, in those 11 games we got a favorable whistle. It happens, as pointed out sometimes it's the crew and sometimes it's because you're the home team. Now if you're a blue blood then it also happens because your success is considered "good for the game."

A&M got favorable whistles at home this season, and they took advantage.

Hell, even in our game last night what got called a foul changed between halves.

I believe there's LOTS of differences in crews. I don't believe aTm somehow "got favorable crews" at home more than any other SEC team.

That's what doesn't make sense. What DOES make sense is aTm has a "draw fouls" gameplan and it worked decently for them. I also believe they can't shoot worth a damn if you can get them out of that gameplan.

What makes more sense: aTm got "favorable crews at home" or aTm executed their gameplan better at home? I'll grant ALL teams get a slight home court advantage in calls because refs are human but that's not an aTm advantage, it's a home advantage.

It's the gameplan, not the refs.

I mean that's really the point most people are making...and BECAUSE of aTm's gameplan it's more obvious when it happens.

Actually, lots of folks here and during our game with aTm blamed the refs for the aTm gameplan working and that's weak as hell.

It's not like they were subtle about it. They did the same crap every game and got beat when they were forced out of it. It's not the refs. It's poor coaching and poor 3 shooting by opponents that let aTm have any success.

Complaining about the refs is weak 99% of the time.

This Xavier-Kennesaw St game has been really good so far. It looked like Xavier was going to get smoked earlier in the second half now they've regained the lead.

It happens IN EVERY GAME THREAD though. People complain about the officiating, it's a TN Forum that's the expectation. Also for some stupid ass reason we get negaVOLs and Barnes haters that love to clog the threads up complaining about how bad the team is or how Barnes needs to retire etc.

Rinse and repeat, the games where we play well there's about 1/4th as many posts because the negaVOLs don't comment and there is nothing to complain about with the officiating.

And the knowledgeable posters that actually have good information tend to disappear when the off kilter drive-bye haters take over the forum.

Yeah, nothing is more frustrating than having fans essentially bicker and argue to you that the team we're all supposed to be fans of is suddenly **** or trash.

I've had more arguments with our own fans than any rival in my life. I don't get fair weather fans at all.

Agreed there. The bball threads are usually full of people complaining (lazily) that "the refs suck" over and over.

Again, aTm wasn't subtle at all about their intention to draw fouls. Coach your guys to be aware, stay in the fundamentals on defense, and try to take them out of their game with your offense.

Can we possibly go thru March without fools insisting the "refs are ruining the game" or whatever? Doubtful.
