So, I know we’ll have game threads for all 6 Tennessee games. I figured we could use a space to talk about everything else.

I had to create this because MAN what a first two games in the First Four. What else could you ask for? Just an awesome start to this tournament.

My office space has a 70" TV in our living room. Needless to say, I will be commandeering the TV tomorrow and Friday. I'm sure they won't mind.

Mississippi State blew that game last night, both their game & the other last night were pretty good games.

Lots of fouls though, at least in the first game. Just sloppy defense though not bad officiating.

Interesting that #9s have won more than #8s. The Basilioites love to point out that Barnes usually loses to lower seeds - but seeds may not really matter that much with the one and done format. Luck, matchups, de facto home crowds (usually favoring the underdog), and officiating style might all bigger factors.

I’d like to see the complete list. Not just (for example) 3 versus 14, but 3s versus EVERY other opponent as well. Seems like of the 48 first week games there are always 12-15 upsets.

The first travel blunder of the tournament goes to Grand Canyon University…

GCU arrived in Denver and found out none of their bags/equipment/gear arrived with them. Coincidentally, both Baylor and GCU are playing at the same location (Drew brothers are the head coaches). Baylor supposedly hooked GCU up and they are practicing today in Baylor gear.

FDU has nice cuts and movement on offense. Be awesome if they could do that against Purdue and pressure the #1 seed.

FDU with the shortest team in the tournament going against Edey and Purdue. Well, these play ins at least give 16 seeds a chance to play outside of getting blown out against 1 seeds. Although, I would like to see 15 and 13 seeds in play in games. Switch it up every other year.

Fairleigh Dickinson could cause Purdue some trouble Friday night with their three point shooting ability and propensity to run and gun.

Bad day to have bet on Texas Southern

Yeah and I took 'em when they were down 7, early. DraftKings had a live game boost, so I waited to after the game started, saw how bad they were playing and still took 'em. I deserved that loss, even tho they tied it up for literally 20 seconds, then got blown out
