The 2017 NBA Finals Thread

You mean like when LeBron joined DWade (who was at the time one of the top 5 players in the league) and Bosh (perceived to be an up and coming superstar) and Ray Allen (an all time great shooter?) Instead of being a "leader" for Cleveland?

Those Miami teams were only a super team because Lebron was on them. Take him off and they don't win the East

Lebron was huge and Love had a big game and still lose by 19. This GSW team should be illegal

Well they did win the title 3 years before he got there, albiet with an old Shaq.

That was 05-06 and Lebron went in 10-11, so 5 years.

Shaq was still a dominant player, the east was sort of weak, and the Mavs didn't have anyone who could guard Wade. The stars aligned for that title.

Durant winning a Ring with the Warriors this year is like losing your virginity to a cheap hooker. Probably the easiest route a superstar has ever taken to win the NBA finals in history.

It's not even remotely close to what Lebron did. He didn't hop on the bandwagon of an 73-9 team just to cruise to a ring. Sorry but it's not even comparable. Case closed.

Cavs are gonna have a bad time in FA this year, unless they can get some vets to sign for the minimum. The next year Lebron can opt out and then I think they can sign some people before he re-signs, but overall they're in for some cap trouble. They're over by $24M and there are only 7 guys returning who get playing time.

He was so slick about it that I didn't even notice the double dribble.

Exactly. Had they been healthy all year. The warriors are a threat to go 75-7 to 82-0. Anything in that range wouldn't have surprised me.

Clyde Drexler joined an NBA Champion and won a Championship. Don't hear anyone whining about him.

FTR, Drexler was traded from a loser. KD left a great squad.

Clyde was a very good player but he's not an MVP and he was at the end of his prime, thus not subject to the same scrutiny as KD, and Clyde didn't play in the age of social media.

He requested the trade to a contender. And averaged nearly 22 ppg that year.

At what age does it become socially acceptable to go after a ring on a contender?

And what does social media have anything to do with anything?
