Wanna know what this win means???
It means the 49ers just got a slightly worse first round pick.
It was a win and I like wins, but still, we played pretty bad. I'm looking at the schedule now, and I see four (maybe five) more wins.
We've got to make some sort of a drastic trade to rebuild this team. We have a solid running game, but that's absolutely IT!

I don't think any of us expect to have many wins this season, and when we have them it will be nice to enjoy.

Wow, big week.
Dante Wesley embarrassed everyone who has ever cheered for the Panthers.
Steve Smith revealed that he is unhappy.
We got a win.
We picked up Tank Tyler in a trade.

I wish we would have done more to help us in next year's draft before the trade deadline, but Tyler should be a valuable addition to this D line.

So...we were playing one of the worst run-defenses in the NFL, and we decided to pass the ball 26 times in the first half.
That sounds about right.

I really hate watching this team.

Yet I still do...every week.

Me too...surprised at how close they kept it for most of the game.

The one frustration I think was the play calling after we went down with no time outs. I mean seriously, run on first and goal when you still need two scores under a minute left?

Unfortunately I missed the last quarter but when DeAngelo dropped the touchdown and we had to kick a FG it was obvious that NO would tie it and eventually win...and obviously they did.

Guys, please don't kid yourselves into thinking that this is a playoff team. Losing Gross is going to be a big, big deal.
Here's the rest of our season:
Miami: Win
@ Jets: Win
Bucs: Loss
@ Pats: Loss
Minnesota: Loss
@ Giants: Loss
Saints: Win

I disagree with the Bucs loss and the Saints win. But we aren't saying we are playoff bound or anything of the like, just enjoying the win. :eek:k:

Tampa always seems to get us once a year. With Freeman playing well, I really could see them coming in and stealing one from us in Charlotte.
As for New Orleans, that will be the last game of the year, when they've already got a first round bye locked. I think their starters will only go at it for about a half.
Remember, we almost beat them at their house last week.

Nah I had previously thought we were way worse than 9tn (I originally put 12th) so I was just giving us an idea of what needs to happen from here on out.

Looking at the teams in front of us for the WC, I'm not giving up hope yet. The Giants can be had in bad weather, especially with how bad they've been playing. We are generally a great home team so I'm not counting us out of the Vikes game (especially if Farve blows up in a potentially cold weather game), as well as the Saints and Bucs. Obviously I think we get killed by the Pats.

I have us 7-5 going into our make or break 4 game stretch.

Tampa has always been coached by a competant coach, ie Gruden or Dungy. Morris is terrible, and again this is a home game where I know we can take down the Bucs. And I agree with the Aints. They may not even play Brees and the rest of their injury risks a whole quarter especially if it's cold out.

We've got a shot, albeit a small one.

Last night was easily the best performance of the year. Holding the the Vikings to 7 points was truly amazing.

My Hats off to Moore, Peppers, Stewart and Smith for playing like pro bowlers last night.

I wonder if that win was enough to give Fox another year? I really like him as a coach and appreciate what he has done, but it still might be time for some major changes.

Hopefully we can win at least one more game this year.
