For our 2008 football season I would like to see.....

More- aggresive play calling, consistant receptions, Hardisty, great D, excited players

Less- screen plays, sitting on a lead, claping on sideline after a bad play, LAWgator gator hype threads:)

Whats your list?

More - 1st half performances extended through entire games

Less - 2nd half breakdowns


Given those 2 things, I think we'll be good next year.

more- noise from the crowd (whether we are playing florida or wyoming)

less- people sitting on there ass at the games

So many people think a 2 yard out is a screen, or a swing pass to Foster is a screen. Neither are.

In related news, there's no such thing as a "shuttle" pass or a hook and "ladder" play and a handoff to WR is actually not a Reverse . . . but it's all a losing battle. :p

I LOVE IT!!! LOVE IT!!!

Aggressive play calling might put more points on the board, Philly and Rut don't won't that. Its NOT in there mindset.

Great "D" left UT few years ago - until there is staff changes the great "D" will not be seen.

Philly's been clapping after bad play after bad play for years, not going to change now. Just like the only players he screams at are the "kickers". Phil usually claps after R. Karl falls down play after play and then misses tackle after tackle, he claps and says "maybe next time, its ok go get 'em".

I wish for the following:
-Rut to be more creative and grow a set
-Phil to quit clapping after negative plays
-Chief to try to hold our rivals under 500 yards
-Us to sometime this decade try a possible fake fg (everyone knows Phil loves kicking 3's, fake one and the whole world would be fooled - but Phil faking a fg is about to happen as likely as him not hitting up Burger King tonight for few whoppers)
-If we get some quality freshman, let 'em play early if we're struggling
-Throw down field
-No two yard hitches on 3rd and 9
-No MUSTANG!!!
-Try to score points instead burn clock when we have a lead

1. Fewer dump offs and short horizontal passes. I don't know if they are called or the QB is progressing down to the 4th option too quickly. It seems like that is all we ran against LSU.

2. More misdirection in the running and passing game. Florida runs some really sweet plays. I like the option left and the wide-out running a reverse from left to right and the QB pitches the ball off and he's running to the other side of the field where there are no defenders because they came with the faked option to the left side of the field. Awesome play. The stuff with G. Jones in Atlanta was a nice touch.

3. Excited team from beginning of the game until the end. I think this may have to do with the personality of the coach. It seems like when you watch Florida their players are hyped from kickoff to the end of the game. It seems like some games we come out kind of flat or we come out and score right away and then try to hold a lead.

4. Championships.

5. To beat Wisconsin.

this point has been disproved many, many times on the board but people love to keep using it.

The true irony is posters using "claps at bad plays", "work like heck", "quit throwing so many screens" while claiming our coach is too predictable.

More:
Defense, Gerald Jones, Running the ball between the tackles.

Less:
Dink and Dunk, shotgun on 3rd and short, shotgun on fourth and short, shotgun on 1st down, backwards passes (1 is too many), embarassing losses.

More of the team that played Georgia this year.

A lot less of the team that played bama, the gators, and cali.

I would like a dominating, nasty Line on both sides of the ball and for Kevin Cooper to be the beast at FB next year that I think he will be.
