That 14-yard shanked punt at msu was horrendous, but why did dooley immediately pull Darr and put in Palardy? Is Darr injured or something? Darr was actually showing improvement this season. You don't typically see a player benched after just 1 bad play. Maybe I just don't have faith in palardy, but I'd rather see darr out there punting.

Palardy had 5 punts for a 48 yard average and 2 inside 20 against Bama. He has always been a pretty decent punter

 You saw Darr improving?? This might be the ONE move Dooley has made that is actually smart. If he knew Parlardy could punt like this from the start Darr should never be on scholarship.

I was wondering about Darr as well but why risk another 14yrd turd if Palardy is kicking well.

Palardy is playing serviceable. If we keep going at the rate of improvement, he might be good enough to beat our freshman with a broken leg next year!

He did it once already and Palardy got hurt because of it

Lmao. Not at all. His punts had a horrible hangtime. Which led to some very big returns in the punt game.

Let's be fair.

44 yard punt; 3 yard return
49 yard punt; 32 yard return
50 yard punt; 23 yard return wiped out by holding
56 yard punt; no return
42 yard punt; 1 yard return

So they had 2 good returns, one was because they held. I would say that is pretty good.

Since being benched, 6/6 on xps and 3/3 on FGs.

On the year, 44.9 punting avg with 5 inside 20.

I will take that all day.

I wouldn't. That punt was enough for me. 90% of the posters on here could match that "punt", or best it.

I can't say that I blame you but you obviously haven't been paying attention the past couple of years.

btw, we should all be giving Palardy some credit. Yes he missed a couple of xp's earlier this season but at least one of them was caused by a bad snap and placement. Since then he has been nailing his fg's and his punting (which he wasn't recruited to do) has been terrific. He is averaging 45 yards which is Colquitt like numbers albeit on a limited number of punts.

Sorry I now see all this has been posted. Carry on........

Think we should bench Bray for a while and see if we get improvement in his play? How about the entire secondary?

Look, you are a kicker/punter. All you do at practice is kick or punt. You have no excuse for messing up. You practice one thing, that is it! Do not miss field goals and do not screw up punts.

Wait.... so we recruit Palardy to kick, but now he's punting better than the #1 punter in his class....

Maybe Bray should be a receiver and hunter should be the QB
