Here is the order. Can't see Oregon at #4, but I've never been there. Has anyone been to all of these stadiums and can comment from first hand experience?

1 LSU
2 Ohio State
3 Clemson
4 Oregon
5 Alabama
6 Florida State
7 Michigan
8 A&M
9 Oklahoma
10 UT

Michigan being on there is a joke... It holds a lot of people, but it goes out so far
That it won't hold noise and is a pretty quiet place compared to how many people attend

I've been to all of those except for Oregon and Clemson. I know that I would have put Florida states little higher. It's so hard to do these type of polls right. Because how good a team is doing in your current visit says a lot. Lane stadium in Blacksburg was madness back when va tech was good. But the last few years it has fell down along with the program.

Agree. It's more like a saucer than a bowl.

Can't argue with LSU being up there. Florida and Oregon are both deserving to be in the top 10.

Alabama is too high IMO. Bryant-Denny is a good place to watch a game but I've always thought it has a very NFL like atmosphere.

I think Vanderbilt's stadium should be in there. It must be intimidating to them to always play in front more visiting teams fans than their own.

Like all lists, this one is subjective but I think most of the right teams are listed. Just being in the Top 10 after the last 8 years is a good thing. Like most stadiums that I've been to, including a couple on this list, much depends upon the opponent and the success of the team at the time. I've been at Clemson when it was relatively quiet but the team was not top notch at that time like it is now. Not sure if Michigan or bama is Top 10 though. I have taken people to Neyland against a lesser opponent and they were awed with the experience whereas I felt the crowd was not loud at all. There have been several threads on here about the Neyland experience and which games were all-time loudest. When Vol fans get pumped up, Neyland is intimidating. I suspect that the Neyland experience made an impression on Butch Jones when he brought his Cincinnati team in. I recall at the beginning of the game, the Cincinnati folks felt like that game was theirs which motivated Vols fans in my area to be loud. And, it was a louder than average game in my opinion. The Bearcats went home unhappy and I heard from a few that the crowd was more into that they thought we would be. For me, last year's OU game was the loudest ever. I'm thinking UT will be one of the most intimidating places to place in 2016. Fans are hungry and I expect them to be loud. I expect UT to be higher on future lists. Years ago, it was generally felt that the loudest places to play were LSU followed by UT in the SEC.

Alabama is a joke. They win so they're on there. Not a thing special about that place.
Wasn't impressed with Mich but they were playing EMU...

As well as they pay their players, that makes sense.

Bryant-Denny isn't that special. It's on there, because they've been winning. Neyland and Death Valley are the two most intimidating venues in the conference.

I went to Bryant Denny last year, my son is a student there. Jordan Hare, and Neyland are both much louder. Not to mention I've been to Legion Field in 87 and 97; Bama fans may be aholes, but they're not loud.

Oregon, LSU and UT are all top 5, IMO. Autzen (Oregon) isn't that big, but the noise is compressed in a bowl and it gets loud. I haven't been to a game at the new Kyle Field, but people say it's impressive. Guess we'll see how intimidating it is in October.

The 12th man is, hands down, the best student section in college football.

Death Valley, Neyland, and the Swamp are top 3 that I've witnessed. Bryant-Denny was laid back and quieter than I expected. I actually think Hogs stadium in Fayetteville was louder during the 49-7 loss ,with that punt return that still haunts me, than Bryant Denny was. When Neyland's rocking and the crowd is hype against a big opponent it's at least top 5 IMO.

LSU at one is well deserved. I went to a game when I was young and I couldn't hear myself think. It seemed as loud as a Bristol race at times.

I'm just happy we're in the Top 10.

And before some of you guys get too upset about this, we are 20-20 at home in SEC play since 2006, with losses to Oklahoma, Oregon,
and UCLA. We haven't gone undefeated at home since 2007. Thats hardly what I call intimidating.

When Butch gets this turned around this year, the perception will change.

I want to go to Death Valley one day for a game.

There was a time not long ago when Neyland was a consistent Top 5 time to return starting Sept 03
