That's racist!

Definitely 100% not racist to be this concerned about the race of an actress playing a fictional role

Dude you guys are such dishonest people... Nolan did this BS to qualify for awards and funding. It's the same woke BS that will make that Harry Potter show irrelevant. When you have to insert "Black Person Here" "Gay Person There" to qualify for funding/nominations.... you either bite the bullet and bring your own funds or you bow down. WTF would I want a DEI role for if I was Black... Every successful black person I know has NEVER used the color of their skin to obtain their position, it's always hard work and some decent luck from being extremely prepared for the moment. GTFOH with this..

-Black little mermaid... FLOP
-Columbian Snow White... FLOP
-Black Sirius Snape????... Extreme backlash

When you have to DEI everything under the sun, you will face backlash. Could you imagine the outcry if Black Panther were to have a re-boot with
Timothée Chalamet? These productions have to be supplemented by outside funds because they fail.

The Academy Awards mandate that films meet at least two of four Representation and Inclusion Standards to qualify for Best Picture, covering on-screen diversity, creative leadership, apprenticeships, and marketing teams. Numerous grants and development funds from organizations like Netflix, ITVS, and Film Independent explicitly prioritize or restrict eligibility to BIPOC, women, LGBTQ+, and other underrepresented filmmakers. While not universal legal mandates, these frameworks heavily influence access to resources and prestige in Hollywood. Following federal DEI rollbacks and recent box office disappointments, some of these initiatives have been quietly scaled back, though Oscars standards and targeted grants remain active.

Funny how he "qualified for awards and funding" for Oppenheimer without any of that, but still did it because he "had" to

So he wasn't obligated to cast Black or trans actresses in The Odyssey and instead simply chose to. Glad we agree and look, we figured out who was "dishonest" along the way 🙂
Lol I guess so.. be honest NV, you have a prestigious position and it takes extreme dedication, focus, and hard work to get to where you are in life.
What would make you more proud at the end of the day? Being able to look back and see the grind to get to where you are and how it formed your current self or being someone that was given the position to fill a checklist? The title isn't what matters in the end, it's the path/struggle it took to achieve what you've earned that makes you appreciate the things you've accomplished. Being Trans/Black/etc... isn't an achievement nor a talent. These race swaps aren't for profitability nor trying to reach a larger audience. I know that, you know that, and everyone knows that. It's simple why the swaps were made...

You're either gay or racist
Different strokes for different folks. I don’t like skinny pale white women. Now go ahead and give me a label like you do everyone else who doesn’t see exactly as you do as you throw around bigot and racist labels like candy. What a tool.

Apparently, it's not even confirmed that EP plays Achilles. And if EP does, it's the ghost of Achilles, LOL. Based on the trailer, EP probably plays Elpenor, who is Ulysses' scrawniest man.

If this is true, Nolan allowing the right and Musk to blow their lids over this is f-ing hilarious.

I’m neither bigot what kind of weirdo says “you’re gay or racist” because you don’t find a mid woman attractive?

That's not even what you said. You used the word ugly. It's ok to not be attracted to her. There are pleny of beautiful women who don't really attract me, but to call a woman who is objectively one of the most beautiful women on the planet "medium ugly" is weird AF.

She’s not even close to “most beautiful women in the planet”. And even then it’s called an opinion weirdo
