Trump slowed border crossings in his first term and literally nothing ended up fixed. His current actions are noise for idiots while everyone in this country is still being bled dry. I can't help if you're stupid or gullible enough to think that closing the border is an actual permanent fix. The end of Trump I proved that it was meaningless.

Multiple media outlets have reported this as non-race related but I have to disagree with them. Had the roles been reversed, the feds would have proceeded with hate crime charges.

For example, if someone told me a thing was racist that I hadn't previously considered racist, I would try to understand where they're coming from, not just throw a temper tantrum and complain about it for the next decade. What harm was even done to me in that scenario? People talk about being "over it" when nothing bad even happened to them

When did he suspend habeas corpus? Was it on illegal aliens who were not American citizens? The police state, is that also for illegal aliens? Who have no rights as an American citizen. Fact is, You Don't Know Jack if the tariffs work or not. It's obvious the trade imbalance has gone against us for years and it needs to be leveled out
its not just on illegal aliens. citizens have been caught up in it too. and the constitution doesn't make the distinction of if citizenship is required for habeas corpus. the constitution is a limit on the government, not on people, so it doesn't make sense for it specify. the government is limited from doing certain things, period. you are just like the gun rights activists who are trying to back door and ignore the constitution to get what you want.

how is it obvious its gone against us? the economy has continued to grow with the "imbalance". the standard of living has continued to increase with the "imbalance".

in reality that "imbalance" is just a meaningless dog whistle. as the richest country on the planet of course we are going to have an "imbalance" with most of the world. there is no way Vietnam is ever going to buy more stuff from the US than the US is going to buy from Vietnam. it just doesn't make any sense.

lets say me and my rich ass neighbor both have a yard sale the same day. we decide we will trade/barter some stuff. Is my neighbor going to be able to buy more of my cheap stuff? Or am I going to be able to buy more of his expensive stuff? he is going to be able to buy more of my cheap stuff, he has more money and my stuff is cheap. you listen to Trump call it an "imbalance" when really its just an indicator that we are richer than most of the world.

To act as though he's standing in defiance of the court against any circumstance; that is not true.
2. He's rightfully challenging birthright citizenship through the court and it's simmering there. Because something has become accepted practice does not mean it is constitutionally lawful. Thus far, there is a conversation re: circumstances under which habeas corpus may be legitimately suspended, such as invasion. I would say that because the last admin allowed invasion via dereliction of duty, we have been invaded.
3. I'll put the concerns I listed above spending, everyday. For example, a functioning education system could go a long way to illuminating the debt problem, which neither party is a good shepherd of.
4. To claim the police state has gotten worse since inauguration is baffling. You're literally witnessing - at the highest levels as the admin is releasing dirt on our intel and vaunted law enforcement agencies - the attempt to put the malevolent genie in the bottle.
5. & 6. Bessent gave insight into the approach with China recently but even so, I think we (the public) are not privy to the China strategy, nor the totality of the tariff strategy which is far more than tariffs. There is a hubris and a sense of entitlement while holding an information pipeline in our hot little hands, that urges us to be the first to make authoritative declarations and be informed of what is essentially a strategy of national security. 1. they don't get to claim credit for returning someone AFTER they lost the case and were ordered to do it. the fact that he was kicked out to the wrong country shows they weren't giving them habeas corpus. the courts have stepped in multiple times to say the admin has to follow protocol on the immigration cases, which is part of habeas corpus. the courts have made that statement because they haven't been following it.
2. birth right citizenship is explicitly mentioned in the constitution, its not just "accepted practice" that is some gun grabbing bs right there. "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.". and clearly these people are under the jurisdiction of the US because the US is out there rounding them up and charging them with crimes. if they weren't under US jurisdiction ICE would be sitting around with their thumbs up their butts.

except in this case its not just something random that is being deemed racist now. it is common everyday things that have generally never even been considered about race at all before, is now racist.

the racist label has been slapped around so much its not a remote or small factor.

Omg spare us the bs. Everything has become racist. Pieces of random rope, statues, commercials,…..everything. People are just sick of it and become numb to it. Nobody refutes there is real racism in the world. What people refute is the extent it actually affects someone. We all agree the klan is racist but they have virtually ZERO affect on anything that matters. None. There’s FAR more fabricated racism/hate crimes by minorities than anything else. You won’t find any person refuting the klan is racist. You will find a lot of people refuting blm is. Not only are they a racist/race baiting gang they are grifting, corrupt, frauds. Yes, that reason is POS human beings. It's not that hard to avoid doing racist things or at least try to, and choosing to instead flip the table and say "no compassion left/I don't even care anymore" strongly suggests that you never cared in the first place and just found an excuse to do what you wanted. You won't see me saying I "ran out of compassion" and pretending it's other people's fault.

How are the first two bolded items conflicting with what you term 'Maga'? When 'Maga' is attempting massive reduction in the size, influence, and consolidation of power in DC? You use a lot of words (and a lot of posts) to completely misrepresent the single point I've been making. Trump and the GOP have very little interest in long term permanent change to improve this country. You can see it in the budget. You can see it in the lies he and DOGE share about contract cancellations. You can see it in how easily his first administration was virtually erased. You can see it in how loud he gets on things that he thinks will feed his ego, and how quickly he'll flip the switch back the other way when he's done with something. I see it every day in the actions of the longtime "swamp" members he's filled executive appointments with. Literally nothing he does is outside of what any other politician would do. These people only have interest in trying to make themselves look good.

This started on the topic of a culture war. The culture war is won at home and only at home. Period. You've bastaridzed this into some weird assumed criticism of the "MAGA movement". depends on what you mean by "impacts me in a real way". If by a real way you mean I let it ruin my life/day, not a whole lot. but I doubt most claims of racism actually impact anyone in a real way.

It's almost as if very little that happens at the national level impacts us in a real way, and as if our founding fathers knew what they were doing when they tried their hardest to localize governance and democratize only select parts of the whole.

I've heard I'm supposed to vote for the red team if I want to get back to that, but so far I haven't seen much out of the red team that leads me to believe it'll happen. Apparently I'm just pissing on myself if I think that though.
