This is a tired argument. You ignore Europe had musical culture and history.

Like any place where multiculturalism exists influences and styles permeate music as it does anything else.

Nothing was stolen, Africans adapted some of their culture to white influences and vice versa. Early commercial successes did use African influences but to say it was stolen or that musical influence followed only in one direction is just plain wrong.

We can thank white European culture for basically everything that made this country functional. Most of the fundamental morals we have here- including and especially the idea of equality- came from white European movements.

This is where y'all lose me. There is no "White" or "black" American culture.

All music 1950 ish on was defiantly influenced by the black community. From the time when music was people mimicking animals to the first woodwinds all people and cultures have shared music with each other. Right now rap and pop are being influenced by Asian culture.

You are mixing liberalism with freedom. You imply that you can't be free without liberalism. That is so wrong. Most forms of liberalism manifest as something taking freedom away from others. You want to curb speech. You want to confiscate guns. You want to take private property. Etc. You want a good example of liberalism...the covid lockdowns. Want some more...Gavin Newsome making a grab for Palisades land. Sorry. That dog don't hunt.

Maga and the socialists aren't the only two political options out there. I would say both do a really good job of avoiding the personal liberty side of the spectrum, and lean into the big government side of the equation.

Then IMO, you break with the trending conservatism that Trump has ushered in which is actually doing something about radical leftism. Working locally and strengthening outreach is how 2024 was won. And if that included bitching about unwavering media support of the anti-Western, anti-American lurch, then so what?

Like it or not, what you're terming a culture war is the political war. Get on board or join the wingtip-polishing conservative establishment who ceded one institution at a time to the left for decades, trying to play checkers while being knifed under the table.
