I think a big part of the angst over the ad is the clear break from the Diversity driven advertising we’ve seen over the last few years.
Fat models in bikini ads, racially ambiguous characters and couples, every group presented a completely unbelievable kaleidoscope of color and ethnicity.

The reaction to this seems to be - How dare you put blonde headed white girl in your commercial, by herself, and then have the nerve to call her “pretty”!

she brought "boobs" back earlier. I forget what the previous comercial was, but she was also on SNL and they were making direct references to her boobs, in a "masculine" 13 yo fashion, and both sides were freaking out about the woke bubble being popped.

she herself has remained out of it, which is a credit to her, even though she leans left.

I think she has been in California too long, the slope to the coast has her walking wrong/leaning left.

via my fiance' I have heard her, and other entertainer's, opinions on various matters. what I have heard was left leaning.

There is one movie of hers, a thriller, that would correct an ED problem because of the sultry nature of the movie.

Its good to know you and @McDad have no interest in seeing it.

Sweeney is not naturally the prettiest but she has a sexy look. She is not controversial either other than folks trying to create what isn't there. This was a brilliant marketing campaign for American Eagle.
