That's racist!

long read but another example of the extreme dogma of anti-racism

A Black Professor Trapped in Anti-Racist Hell
Trust black women? What happened to trust all women?

I don’t even understand the first one. What are they trying to say there…

  • Experiencing hardship conveys authority.
  • There is no hierarchy of oppressions—except for anti-black oppression, which is in a class of its own.
  • Trust black women.
  • Prison is never the answer.
  • Black people need black space.
  • Allyship is usually performative.
  • All non-black people, and many black people, are guilty of anti-blackness.
  • There is no way out of anti-blackness.

I think it's legit...and I also think this just falls under the category of "when you're rich enough, you just don't give a ..."

I dont think it has anything to do with him being rich. He has admittedly tried to give a hand up to blacks and all it got him was being called a racist.

Laid off: Newspapers drop office cartoon 'Dilbert' over creator's racial remarks

Multiple newspapers have pulled the popular office comedy comic strip "Dilbert" after its creator Scott Adams made racist comments in his podcast, and then doubled down on them.

"If nearly half of all Blacks are not okay with White people – according to this poll, not to me – that’s a hate group," Adams said during his "Coffee with Scott Adams" vlog, referring to a Rasmussen poll published this week. "
That’s a hate group, and I don’t want anything to do with them."

"And I would say, based on the current way things are going, the best advice I can give to White people is to get the hell away from Black people," he continued, adding, "There is no fixing this … you just have to escape," which he said was why he moved to his current neighborhood that has "a very low Black population."

The poll that Adams cited asked two questions: (1) Do you agree or disagree with this statement: "It’s OK to be white," (2) Do you agree or disagree with this statement: "Black people can be racist, too." The poll found that 26% of Black respondents said "no" to the first question, and 21% said they weren’t sure, which Adams concluded meant 47% had a negative response.

There is nothing inherently "racist" about anything Scott Adams said.

Sure it is. It's racist to point out black racism and bias. If they need their "space", there are vast areas of their homelands that are completely empty.

Lincoln was working on a plan to create a colony for blacks to move to, but was killed before it gained traction. Interesting to think what America would be like today, good and bad, had that come to fruition and likewise for what would have become of the colony.

Dems: Give black people their own space!
Dems: Give black people their own towns!
Dems: White people need to stay out of black neighborhoods!

Scott Adams: Yeah. Same.

Dems: ****ING RACIST!!!
The Scott Adams thing..whats interesting is he was talking about a Rasmussen poll that said 56% of black people think its NOT okay to be White. What in the wide wide wide world of f##ks? That's some Hitler level racial hatred right there.

Probably something like the “utopia” Liberia.

FWIW. thug became racially charged some time in the 00s. Thug life was promoted in 90s gangsta rap (Tupac Shakur etc.) and for a while people knew what that meant and realized it was subculture and exaggeration of street life both the struggles and the violence rather than a definition of black people in America.

At some point, white folks, especially talk show hosts and right wing radio, started using thug to refer to all black people and/or to refer to black people accused of crime but never white people accused of crime. The word stopped being used as a catch-all for everyone but was applied almost exclusively to blacks.

People took notice of the change in usage. And when it started being a term whites applied to blacks only, it started being offensive because people knew what the word had become for a lot of people. Even so, you can still use it but it's a word I'd use with great caution because it has become a term applied almost exclusively to one group.

The goal of the wacko left is not egalitarian tolerance...it is inversion and conquest...I absolutely hate all of you hypocrites....you're not uniting or making the world a better place, you are dividing and causing hatred where none existed....your overused and wrongly used slurs "racist" and "bigot" mean nothing to me anymore. I don't care if I offend you anymore....that is the result of all this hypocritical 🦬💩.

I don't listen to rap. I don't listen to right wing radio.

I do see a pattern though. Same pattern I described above. One group of people used a term in a certain way. Another group picked up on it. First group didn't like that and wanted it changed. Rinse. Repeat.

Socially constructed norms. Same thing employed across all recorded history and time. Those in power feel threatened...marginalized become scapegoat. Victim blames Majority, majority blames 'victim.'
