That's racist!

honestly not sure at this point. that conversation was about 8 years ago. I did the damage before I turned 18 so its been a minute.

If you have damaged cartilage in there, you need to have it scoped.....even if its a very old injury. The longer it goes without being repaired is the more scar tissue you will have over the years.

How old are you again? There are many surgeries and procedures that will help you. I was also too young to get complete knee replacements so they did tibial osteotomies on me which has bought me about 10 years before I have to think about replacements.

27, just posted that the other day. It's on my list of medical things to do at some vague time in the future. I really want a full lower body scan to see what all can/should be done.

Rooster Comb injections FTW.......You're welcome

Your ortho comments don't make a ton of sense to me. He says the damage is done......are we talking osteoarthritis here or still cartilage damage that could be cleaned up with scope?
The rooster comb (Synvisc) injection actually helped me a bit. It
is wearing off, and I need to go back for another. One warning....it's a big needle, and it doesn't feel really good when the needle and the goo goes in your knee joint.

Google "MACI knee." It's recently approved by FDA and may be helpful. Then throw a few dollars in VCEL stock as a spec play if you like that sort of thing and have a high risk tolerance.

I am not one for injections, or anything that is temporary. If the problem isn't being actually fixed I am not interested in treating the symptoms.

I had surgery and 3 rounds of therapy, and my knee still hurts every day. It was a workers Comp dr though.

I wasn't suggesting that you get synvisc injections. The doctor suggested it to me as a temporary measure to get a couple more years out of my knees before total replacements. He was afraid that if they replaced mine now, that they might wear out before I die. I guess they didn't want to have to redo them in 15-20 years when I'm in my 80's.

until it wears off and you need the next shot even worse than you needed the first.
I have been down a few roads in my time.

Well it affects people differently, I have known people who have to have them every 3 months and I know people who go a lot longer. It all depends on how much damage there is. I prefer to be pain free when possible.

yeah, at the current rate i would lose 4 inches of height with all the replacements I would need.

The pain is good for letting me know what is or isn't doing damage to it.

SKITTLES’ latest move to ditch its rainbow-themed candies for an all-white look has left a sour taste in some mouths with some people labelling the revamped candy as “racist” and a symbol of “white supremacy”.
The candy company temporarily adopted black and white packaging in the United Kingdom and Germany in order to give LGBT pride celebrations “centre stage.”
Michelle Green, a spokeswoman for the Chicago-based Wrigley Company, which makes Skittles, told The Associated Press that since rainbow colours are identified with both LGBT pride and Skittles, the candy maker chose one colour during the celebrations “in order for Pride’s rainbow to take centre stage.”
While well-intentioned, the switch has sparked controversy on social media as Twitter users suggested the company failed to reflect racial diversity within the gay community.
