The Tribe and Washington Redskins have A long history in battling such...Braves too..

Many of college nicknames would have to be called into question....off the top of my head I can think of many...

Florida State Seminoles
Utah Utes
St John's Redmen(storm I believe now)
Alcorn State Braves
Central Michigan Chippewas
Illinois Illini

The Seminoles are a different situation since the Seminole Nation granted it's permission.

I just don't see nicknames of professional teams, or amateur ones for that matter, as having a derogatory/racist intention...

Any more than Fighting Irish or Vikings..

I see it as a tribute with respect...

Your problem is the same as the other poster and that's the use of the word "all". There are A LOT of peaceful protests, probably a majority actually, you just don't hear about them and they don't get the attention like the violent protests or "riots". That's like saying all people who are pro-life are violent because a very small percentage bomb abortion clinics. Anytime you generalize and use the word "all" you tend to lose credibility.

Mediaite had to revamp an entire article after one of its senior reporters mistook a strikeout sign at a World Series game Wednesday night for a KKK symbol.



While most people in America were enjoying one of the most exciting sporting events in U.S. history, Mediaite senior reporter Josh Feldman spent his Wednesday night tweeting about the potential civil war caused by a prospective Donald Trump presidency.

But Feldman’s reverie was briefly interrupted when he thought he saw a Ku Klux Klan sign in the stands during Game 7.

The editor of a prominent black website wished death upon Republican nominee Donald Trump’s supporters for their political beliefs.

Damon Young, a contributing editor for Ebony.com, wrote an op-ed Wednesday explaining why he’s voting for Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, before writing he wants Trump supporters die.

So many anti-left boogeymen out there just waiting to suck the blood of all those innocent, uncorrupted lefties. It's a terrible world - so few safe spaces left. So many signs that seem so wrong - except for things like Trump hanging from a necktie or a US flag in flames. Then there's the horror that someone might address a being of indeterminate sexual status by the wrong pronoun or title. Truly a scary world for lefties.
