A very public statement that domestic violence is bad? That’s why they have a domestic violence policy and suspensions. The NFL can’t allow the perception that they support those ideas but they won’t and shouldn’t discipline him with a suspension or fine, so they made a statement.

Acting like he’s being treated worse than Deshaun Watson is insane and mostly advanced by the “conservative white men are such victims” crowd

"We simply can't afford for the public to think we condone parents prioritizing raising their families over work and career advancement! We must make a statement!"

Eyeroll. It isn't that he's being attacked or treated poorly, it's that the very sane things he's drawing attention to are seen as radical and controversial. We are in the upside down.

Probably more the stuff about Biden murdering babies and the "diabolical lies" told to women, whatever that means, and the other things you excused away as "it's a Catholic school" when the NFL operates in a much broader space than a Catholic school, but you knew that

Yes, we all would've been very confused if the nfl hadn't said something. I always just assumed that the nfl implicitly agrees with everything every player says all the time unless otherwise denounced.

I am certain the reporters at the AP could not have imagined that their attempt to rebuke and embarrass places and people like those here at Benedictine wouldn't be met with anger, but instead met with excitement and pride. Not the deadly sin sort of pride that has an entire month dedicated to it, but the true God-centered pride that is cooperating with the Holy Ghost to glorify him.

The world around us says that we should keep our beliefs to ourselves whenever they go against the tyranny of diversity, equity, and inclusion. We fear speaking truth, because now, unfortunately, truth is in the minority. Congress just passed a bill where stating something as basic as the biblical teaching of who killed Jesus could land you in jail.

Why do you keep prattling on about this white persecution sh*t? Don't confuse optic nerve snapping eyerolls with persecution syndrome. It's just so weird to see very sane and normal things be treated like some radical controversy.

Instead of promoting unity in our church, our nation, and the world, his comments seem to have fostered division. One of our concerns was the assertion that being a homemaker is the highest calling for a woman. We sisters have dedicated our lives to God and God’s people, including the many women whom we have taught and influenced during the past 160 years. These women have made a tremendous difference in the world in their roles as wives and mothers and through their God-given gifts in leadership, scholarship, and their careers.

And most all of the outcry I've seen about his speech centered on his supposed "misogynistic" remarks. That's why I was highlighting those things in his speech earlier. I wasn't lying. These particular remarks were not controversial in the least. They require profound exaggeration just to make them seem even remotely spicy.
