That Hit By Slaughter

Am I understanding correctly that Slaughter was moved from safety to cornerback during the week and this is the result on the field?
He'd practiced at that position dating back to camp. Only second guessing may be why wasn't he out there sooner? Doubt that Pitt TE runs through this dude's arm tackle.

Slaughter is an old-school headhunter, with the name to match. You love to see it.

Yes, if you will pardon the pun, Slaughter absolutely "slaughters" people when he tackles. That is as pure old-school as you can get. A Butkus-like, bury-your-shoulder-in-his-gut, drive-through-him, plant-him-in-the-ground tackle.

IIRC he had another one where he and and another player converged on the runner at the same time. It was brutal.

Bonus: Barion Brown sighting! That’s him (2) getting blocked out of the INT return by Tamarion McDonald. I tried to not like him since he asked for that and all, but the best I could manage was an “oh hey that’s that one guy” on this play.
