I first want to thank the UT fans I set with Saturday. They were from Georgia and I think the name was Johnson, but anyway we had a great time and really enjoyed the fans being fans and not jerks on both sides. The game was a classic and we just got lucky. I hate to hear our fans say stuff like "Great teams make great plays" but this was just a freak thing. UT out played us and deserved to win. All I can say is we survived and we advance. UT has a great future, not only the next few years, but this year. I can see this team going at worse, 7-5. Good luck and and thanks for a great game.

I still hate Bama, but I respect y'all the most out of any other team UT plays. I'm glad the rivalry is getting to be the way it used to be (listening to my dad talk about it anyhow).

Best post by a Bama fan post game. Tell your other fans to quit whining about the win.

We all have them. There has been a few Vol fans on our message board all weekend. Just like the brother you do not want to claim. Got to ignore them. I live in Tennessee and this week is special to me. I graduated from Alabama, then UT Law so I have mutliple dogs in this fight. I am a Bama fan through and through, but I have respect for UT. Those are the fans we both can do without. ROLL TIDE

I was a lone Vol sitting amongst your Bama brethren 2 years ago when we made JPW look like Joe Namath. I had a great time with your fans. They treated me well.

I think most of our fans (Bama/UT) are respectful to each other. It is the ones that run the mouth a little that give the true fans a bad name. Good luck the rest of the year. ROLL TIDE

The best Tennessee football (in my opinion) is playing against bama when both teams are good, and playing the opponent in the national championship game. I'm looking forward to enjoying both of those in the future.

Go Vols.

You, sir, are the kind of fan that makes the rivalry worth fighting. Thank you. I make fun of Bama fans, but a large number of them are all class. Unfortunately, they are the ones who never make it onto the Slimebaum show.

Well, to win the NC you gotta get a little lucky - tho' I wouldn't call Bama's win luck per se, much like The Stoerner fumble, the D-line made the push that made the play.
I used to love the UT-AL rivalry for all that was great about sports - two schools with mutual respect & hatred & then with the Bama probation, it took an ugly turn. So now that both programs seem to be back on top (or getting there) and Fulmer isn't here (tho' I will always maintain it wasn't his fault Bama got in trouble), maybe we're finally getting back to the good ole days!

Good game vols. My little story. We had a couple I guess late 60 next to us .She had all her VOL. gear on . And funny as heck. On the final kick she grabbed my hand and said she was saying a prayer for both of us.
CLASSY woman if I say so myself.
Your time will be here vols.

Great game Vols. I really thought yall had pulled off the upset. I was sweating bullets. It appears to me that Lincoln just kicked it low into Cody instead of him blocking it. There was a good picture of it in the Tuscaloosa news sports page. Now win the rest of your games until late October '10.

The Cincinnatti's and Utah's just don't cut it. IMO.

Very classy post and its nice to see some good respect being thrown both ways in this rivalry again...I've always had good times with bama fans in the past and am glad to see everybody getting along and enjoying the best rivalry in college football. :rock:

Extremely classy post. If only more AL fans were more like you. I have been pondering seriously since Saturday who I hate more AL or FL. I hate the utmost respect for AL and Saban however I hate their fans more than any other fans. With FL, I hate their coach and program more than their fans. You seem to be an exception to the reason I hate AL. Thanks for that. Sorry if that didn't make sense.
