I wanted to say thanks to all of you who offered a warm welcome on the board and were willing to talk level-headed football. Obviously, I'm proud of how my Mountaineers (a school I adopted when our younger son enrolled there in 2005) played Thursday and wish we'd ended up with the W.

I'd encourage those of you close to the edge to hold off on jumping just now. UT definitely has the talent to win plenty of games this season. I hope you see a few personnel shuffles and play calling improvements to facilitate the winning.

I'll be pulling for you to win the rest of your games with the exception of the third Saturday in October when I'll be pulling for the same team I've pulled for for nearly six decades.

This grandma has had a great time - on this board, in K-town, and in Neyland. The memories will not be forgotten anytime soon. If you ever make it across the mountain to see a game in Boone, let me know. I'd be delighted to treat you to some fine tailgating in the stadium lot.

This granny loves to cook! We buy a side of beef from a local farmer each year just for tailgating season. It's not unusual for me to feed 25-30 people at a tailgate. :good!:
