Thanks for the analysis ESPN

Just saw that. All they really said was the two teams playing. Whatever, they have 20+ hours every year dedicated to bowl analysis so they'll get around to us.

I just saw that. But at least they were talking about us and didn't have it the other way around. They never showed UNC. At all. haha

If there was a positive to take out of it, at least they spoke about TN more than NC.

This says all you need to know about whether this game is a big step down from the Gator Bowl. I guarantee they would have at least talked for a bit about UT v. Michigan matchup. Having that extra airtime would have been nice to get more in the minds of recruits, but ultimately the extra practice time is the most important thing we get out of the bowl game.

I believe we are on our ascent into rellevance

Certainly possible, but for the time being, we're not really on the national radar, and haven't been for some time. Not getting a lot of publicity with regards to our bowl game is just something that comes with that. Hopefully it'll be changing over the next few years.

Not really. They didn't give the Gator bowl too much time either. The big bowls are the ones which get the air time unless the school is Boise State or something.

They lost me when someone said that Les Miles is the coach you would most want in a close fourth quarter game. Really? REALLY?

I thought it was funny how Boise instantly fell off the face of ESPN's earth the second they lost to Nevada. I'm not surprised the Miss. St./Michigan Gator Bowl didn't get a lot of airtime. I was just saying if it had been UT/Mich, people would have been significantly more excited about the matchup. I imagine that's one of the main reasons the Gator Bowl even considered us in the first place.

what is important is that we're in a bowl game, our players will get an extra month of practice time, and recruits will get to see one more game out of us. always better to end the season with a bowl game than without one.
