Thanks Dont'e I’m sure this will help recruiting

So the route trees that produce countless receivers running wide A open isn’t good enough for the NFL? Maybe it is time for the NFL offensive coordinators to take a few things from CJH! The nfl has always taken from the innovators of the game which historically resided in college.

That's BS. Just another article for the negative Nellies to jump on. Route trees are route trees, not much difference regardless of offensive scheme. Hyatt didn't have much trouble getting drafted.
At some point, Heupel’s offensive genius is going to have to survive without 2022 Hooker and Hyatt.

Dont'e never lived up to his hype.
I think the criticism is valid when you look at guys who have been here in recent years who have not lived up to their potential. Dont'e is high on that list. He disappeared for weeks at a time. Decent blocker.

Bru McCoy is another. Injuries are an excuse, but results are all that matter when you have 5 star talent. He was a Great Blocker.

Brazzell came in after leading Tulane in receiving yards and got buried in the depth chart. That should have meant our WRs were elite, but they weren't. He played in 13 games and had less than half of the yards from the year before. 4th most yards on a team where receivers under-performed.

I love Heupel and respect his offense. I think he is the long-term solution for UT. But WRs and TEs have been pedestrian for two seasons in a row. That group has to get elite, or someone goes to the house. Pope should be made aware it is time to produce.

He’s not wrong and he’s not being critical. Our offense consists of a lot of simple routes and reads due to our tempo. We’re not running a bunch of mesh concepts out there. It just is what it is.
Plus, we run the ball more than we throw it. Even in 22, we ran the ball about 55% of the time

People need to go back and watch some of last years games. Even the TV commentators were say that a lot of times that the receivers were lazy on their routes or running wide open down the field and no one (looking at you Nico) saw them.

But, often there were guys running wide open for TDs that Nico either badly overthrew or missed seeing them

How about keeping your mouth shut and saying nothing. You sound like TN’s offense kept you from being some sort of superstar. You don’t get to the NFL on talent alone. A lot of good coaching comes along with it.
Oh you mad

Here’s what’s funny to me: people claim stuff like this hurts recruiting and many are the same people who say all these guys today care about is the money. Which is it? If they just care about the money, then stuff like this doesn’t matter, they will come if you pay them enough. I think it’s a little of both, probably. Players have been saying stuff like this forever. Harrison Bailey said the UNLV coaching staff was the best he’s had, when he was there, and that they taught him stuff he didn’t learn here. Didn’t seem to hurt QB recurring.

Yeah, we've signed some highly ranked QBs the last 3 years.

Wow.

There are a LOT of folks here who do NOT want to hear criticism of Heupel. Of any kind. That mentality will get ya beat.

Heup has got to learn you can't keep bestest buddies on staff because they are bestest buddies. WR and OL are suffering in part (not all) because of this. Heup needs to realize that if enough people say something, and say the SAME thing, there might be some truth to it.

Heup either adapts, fires a few people to improve his staff, and moves forward or he stagnates holding stubbornly onto a system that has been solved and surrounded by buddies.

Time will tell. I like Heup a lot, so I'm pulling for #1!

I will be brief. We need to see more variation on offense.
