Wonder if Alabama has tried to get Saban to pose in a picture just like that yet.

Did'nt the Bear consider UT more of a rival than he did Auburn?

We should tear down the statue of Neyland and put up one of Bear.

Also, all future Vol DVDs should have either Cam Newton or Tim Tebow on the cover instead of Peyton.

They're the reason why ut will be back.

Fulmer's march to the title in '98 were directly responsible for the resurgence of LSU, which led to the resurgence of Alabama, therefore he gets to count both.

Fulmers '98 title doesn't happen without the bear

In NCAA 11, conference prestige is a huge factor for most recruits, so thanks Florida, LSU, Alabama, and Auburn for making it a little bit easier to turn around the Vols in a video game.

The truth -- sad as it may be -- is that Tennessee's success under Neyland is largely responsible for the Vols' perennial status as #2 in the SEC.
From 1938 to 1960, Alabama beat UT FIVE times. That's 23 games. A .217 winning %.
By 1957, after Auburn won the NC, the Tide had had enough and went all out to get Bear Bryant. You know the rest -- NCs in 61, 65 and 65....
As of 1960, Tennessee was the undisputed king of the SEC.

Great thread! Has Dooley been in contact with any recruits yet to make sure they know we're in the same conference as Auburn?

For winning the SEC six National Championships

You have obviously omitted the 1950 national championship at Kentucky awarded by Sagarin 30 years later, as well as about 8 other national titles awarded by Alabama laundrymats.

Having posters printed up now and flyers will be in the mail soon. We're lucky that out of the other 11, we're the only ones that anyone will recognize as SEC members.

Why don't we go out on a limb and say Bear's ancestors founded Tennessee and allowed for the creation of the university in 1794?! Thanks Bear for having an impact for 300+ years. I think that hat of his is magical.

Peyton Manning once heard Bear say "Tennessee" in a sentence, and commited to UT based solely on Bear's word. Thanks Bear!
