I like you eric so I won't get you too bad but as far as RP starting if Flynn wasn't there....DUHHHH....:)

No reason to call me out or anything, but from what I took from your post is you are saying that just because RP is second string QB he is somehow not as worthy and it makes us look worse?? I personally think that had RP not got into trouble he might have been starting more games than Flynn did towards the second half of the season. I understand how you took my post, but it was meant in a different way. We played the best QB LSU had to offer tonight even if Flynn was healthy, IMO.

the only people that should be saying "thank you" are the LSU Tigers.

I wasn't trying to call you out, you are correct, that's how I took it. I took it like you could take this...Jon Crompton would have started if Ainge wasn't there...that's all...nothing more...:peace2:

Well, despite the stupid way we lost, I really enjoyed seeing our defense knock the snot of a bunch of LSU guys. It seemed there were LSU players knocked out on every other play. Good snotknocking, Defense!

Otherwise, I think our new fangled "three bubble screen plays and out" approach on offense is not going to work. At least "three running plays and out" would have run the clock down before EA could have given the game away.

So its not OK that I thank my Vols for not giving up after the start to the season we had?? Wow, that's a little rough Jake.
thanking scholarship athletes for not lying down? pretty weak. how about we avoid 3 embarrassing blowouts next season so we don't have to follow up with thanks for not quitting.

Great job on keeping the bar high and not giving up on the season like you could have after the Bama game. I LOVE my UT Vols and I want to say you had a great run at the SEC and I believe we can get back next year as long as we prepare like we did the second half of the season this year. I am mad about things, but we played our hearts out and we deserved to be there not matter what any of the experts say. Our defense played lights out and held LSU to its LOWEST point total of the season and held them to only ONE offensive TD for the game. Congrats Vols, and good luck in the Outback or Peach Bowl. :hi:

I think I just threw up a little.

praising a team for not quitting. If you're expectations are that low, then yes it will be a long off season and you deserve it.

So I am guessing you would have rather seen a 5-6 season?? Or we could have ended up like Bammer and went 6-6. Yeah, praising a young team for not giving up and getting us to the SECCG win or lose is low expectations.

I would have hated like hell another 5-6 season, but I guarantee you I'd feel better going into '08 if we made the changes such a season would have dictated.

I'm not praising any competitive D1 athlete for not lying down. I'm not praising them for scraping by several teams we should have killed and for getting blown out by 3 others, only to say next year might be better. Not my MO.
