No matter who the next coach is a think it should be a given that Kippy be retained. He is a fine coach and didnt sell us out today and that should count for something.

Kippy you are a true class act.:clapping:

Good thing he wasn't related to Lane. Otherwise he would have had no choice but to let Lane ruin his image. Monte said he can't turn his back on family. It's great that Lane doesn't care how his decisions ruin Monte's legacy. Lane needs to grow up and stop having daddy hold his hand.

Way to hold the rope, Kippy! It might make his job a bit easier if posters will refrain from teeing off on all the verbals who reopen thier recruiting to wait and see who will be on the new staff.

Feel the same here!!! Kippy has a lot of experience...I mean his credentials alone could get him a job anywhere...He knows the tradition at Tennessee...He's a Vol..He is well respected and a class act..He also has plenty of NFL experience to recruit top talent to come to UT...I say Get KIPPY a good supporting staff and lets go get em!!!!And I just hope and pray that we meet with LANE on the field and beat his arse

Kippy Brown is the reason why this program won't completely fall apart.

Well, it sure is a hell of a way for the University of Tennessee to have it's first black HC. Congrats Kippy.

No, I personally wouldn't mind as long as he got a a good supporting cast. He is a class act, a Tennessee guy who knows and embraces the traditions. In all honesty, I know there are people on here who don't like Chavis, but it wouldn't surprise me if Kippy made the call to Chavis. I would bet that Chavis would entertain working for Kippy.

Kippy for HC, Chaney and Thompson coordinators. I also like Mullins. Either is better than Muschamp to me.

Maybe a fiery-eyed Kippy Brown will be the one reciting the general's maxims before heading through the T. I could see that and I would love it.

I'd be okay with Kippy as head coach. He'd bring us the much needed stability and loyalty that we're looking for. He's a technician, very detailed oriented WR coach -- qualities that should carry over to the heach coach posiiton. I agree with some of the above posters that'd keep Chaney on as OC and Thompson on as DC. I'd even keep Reaves if indeed he's had a falling out with his brother-in-law.

He definitely gets my gratitude for holding down the fort in the face of this storm. Great man, great coach.

I know most coaches don't like to be told who to have on their staff but...

Whoever the new coach is should have to keep him on the staff in some capicity.
