Without that conversion on the 4th down screen pass he took into the endzone after a broken tackle before the 1st down marker we have no come back. So glad he's a Vol and can't wait what he has in store for the rest of his career here.

Mature beyond his years. May he stay uninjured and be blessed with a great UT career. After which I hope he has a successful NFL one.

Absolutely! Thank you, Jalen. Finish this year strong and healthy. Next year will be a blast with you, Dobbs, and Kamara running on opponents.

Hurd has exceeded how good I thought he would be. He is so tough when he gets the ball in his hands. He welcomes contact and I love it.

I liked Dylan Hurd's performance as well. I didn't even know who he was, but he lit it up in the first half.

Please don't anyone think that I'm "thanking" Hurd for this, but this thread seems an appropriate place to state this:

We all noticed how many SC players were dropping with injuries during the game. A large percentage of them were on SC's defensive side of the ball. Am I the only one who noticed most of SC's injuries occurred to a player who had just attempted to tackle Jalen?

Dude absolutely punishes any defender who dares attempt to tackle him. That'll pay huge dividends in the future, as opposing teams (especially small DB's) will think twice about flying in to hit him.

I thought I was the only one who noticed that announcer butchering our players and coaches names. Who is Corey Maggitt, and I didn't know Butch Davis was our coach?

Jalen is becoming a stud right before our eyes. Runs harder & gets tougher every single week.

Thank you for staying home & becoming a VFL!

if you notice, he didn't see the defender coming from his right until the last split second and kindof deadlegged his right leg to get out of the tackle. What an athletic play. Once his vision opens up a little more and he sees cutback lanes, he will step it up a level.

I caught that too. That's what you get to do when you get paid the big bucks to talk on those televisions

Yeah, the Butch Davis as coach comment hit me. I wondered of we had brought him in as an Academic Advisor after his time at UNC.

There was another play where Hurd was blocking, and he absolutely destroyed his man. I wish I could remember when it was.

Dude is legit.

Did anyone notice how much Hurd and Dobbs were talking before and after each play and seeming to get on same page?

They looked in synch all night.

Why all the talk about Jalen's height? Didn't seem to bother Eddie George any. This guy is a stud with a very bright future. Glad he suits up in Orange & White:rock::rock::rock:

One was also when the SC DB Gurley hit Alex Ellis on that nice catch he made. Not only did he hold onto the ball, but he popped right up while Gurley stayed down. Don't get me wrong;don't like seeing any players get hurt, and fortunately Gurley was able to get up and later come back into the game, but still, a lot of our offensive guys were bringing the pain.

Dylan Hurd was on the video board every time he made a play through the first 2.5 quarters before I ever saw Jalen show up.
