OU set the NCAA record for points scored in a season, the Gators only set a school record. I see OU hanging 60 on the them, only hope Fla can keep up.

you are seriously going to give that much respect for big 12 defenses????

Personally I wanted Bama to win tonight just so we could all see them get steamrolled by OK in the NC game. Oh well, hopefully Florida won't win it either. I'm all for the SEC looking good most of the time, but I can't bring myself to cheer for Florida or Bama to win a NC.

Nah, this way they have no chance of winning the NC. I wouldn't want to chance it.

Pass Defense for OU is 99th in the country.
Their rush defense is 18th in the country.
They are 65th in total defense and 57th in scoring defense.

Florida ranks in the Top 20 for all the above listed categories.

As for rushing offense - OU is 19 and UF is 11.
Passing offense - OU is 3 and UF is 61.
Total offense - OU is 3 and UF is 18.
Scoring Offense - OU is 1 and UF is 3.

Now stats can be misleading but to me it looks like the Florida defense is the key to this game.

12-1 or 5-7? Let me think. I think I like the 12-1 better. We lost to a better team on Saturday. We can not blame the refs, not many bad calls on any team. They finished drives when we could not. Best of luck to the gators to beat Oklahoma and bring the SEC 3 in a row. ROLL TIDE

Ok... Now I'm just a little happier that you lost. Nice lead off with your post.

Florida actually plays defense....OU dosen't even come close to 60.

Florida defense is the key to this game.

Florida 38
OU 24

Tebow sucks that's the guy I hate the most in college football. And not because he plays for Florida. Can't wait till urlacker or Lewis knocks his ass out in the pros

Posts like this do not help your credibility. There is not a sane Vol fan alive that would not kill to have this guy taking snaps wearing orange and white.

This is true. Say you hate him for being a Gator, but don't try to tell me he sucks. Simply not true.

It 's hard for me to say it, but yes Tebow is a GREAT football player, and just as good a person (I don't mind saying that). I think he will do well in the pro's too. I just hope he goes there after this year.:birgits_giggle:

Even Archie Manning said he was the greatest football player/quarterback he had ever seen, and that is saying a WHOLE lot.

OU managed 35 pts on a Texas D ranked in the mid 20's...UF is ranked 5th...there is no way OU scores 60 pts against UF..heck you may even be able to double their score and not get 60.

We'll finally have a contest for the championship. It's been a few years, but this game should be a good one that supports all the lead in hype.

If Tebow is the greatest football player he's ever seen, then i've lost all respect for him.

Means nothing.Check the stats on the best offense both Bama and Florida played. That would be number 16 Georgia. Oklahoma has played 5 of the top 8 offenses in the country. That makes a heck of a difference.

Numbers do not mean as much at this point in the year. It is more of an identity OU's D could give up 40 every nite and still win. Cant win like that against UF.

All the bammers down here are blaming the loss on bad calls. They're so pathetic ! btw thank the gators for ruining the bammers evening !!! GO VOLS IN 09

Not all Bammers feel that way. There were some missed calls on both sides, and I think that the refs. let them play ball. Florida was just a better team. If things might have gone a little differently and we had got some breaks, maybe it could have been a victory, but Florida played a perfect game, and you can't beat perfection. I'm proud of our team for what they have done this year, when most of the world didn't think that they had a chance, but we have to give Florida their due, and they won the game fair and square. The only thing that I had a problem with was the Florida player kicking the Bama player at the end of the game, when the game was over. There was just no reason for that. I was afraid that the benches would clear and there would be a brawl. This would have effected the bowl games for us both. It could have hurt Florida more than us, and ruined their chance at a championship.

If it makes you feel any better, I'm pulling for the Sooners. I just don't think they have much of a chance

Bama had its chance. Florida's D line was thin for the game and Bama had them on the ropes in the 3rd. The best player in the country took over the game in the 4th and put JPW on spot to win the game and he couldn't do it. You won't beat Fl with average QB play.
