One thing about Butch...he tried! He really did! He wanted the job and he went for it. He deserves our respect on the way out!!

You're drunk or ate too much sodium so your bp is high. Get lots of fluids and a good night rest.

He deserves at least another year and if we totally sour on him then we ruin our chances, our recruits, and don't give him the chance he has worked for.

Maybe he parts ways with Debord and brings in a more creative play caller. That and another year of depth, plus JG or QD behind center might change your mind.

Remember that the negs are more wrong then they are right. Firing him is one of those wrongs.
(1) Need a more creative play caller for sure
(2) Don't know how you change Butch's stubborness to admit/realize, for all of Dobbs' good qualities, that he's not a passer and to not utilize Dormady's passing skills this season was pure stupidity
Yes, devastating injuries we all recognize; to not make better adjustments by this staff is unexcuseable & it starts at the top
(3) Just don't see how you can blame everything on the injuries
(4) on the bright side, don't have to worry about getting pounded by Bama in the SEC CG because it would have been even worse than before; is there still a chance? Slim, but possible.

Ok neg Nancy. All your lives must be so perfect to not understand that he is moving this team forward. Just not as fast as some hoped.

"Moving forward" is losing to the worst team, and the worst coach (again) in the East? Is your last name Jones?

If they come by my house I'll give them some adult diapers to take to you. Obviously you're too young or not smart enough to understand everything doesn't go our/your way.

If only our fans judge their lives how they judge our coaches.

Funny thing is some make YouTube vids about coaches in the basement of their mothers home. Like their so wise. Lol the irony of those guys.

Poor coaches.

Butch makes 4.1 million a year, so what return on investment are we getting? This loss is unacceptable. The 39 point loss to bama at home is unacceptable. I guess you never had a job where you were paid to produce results?

Butch wanted to be in the big boy league, make the big boy money, so he has to take the big boy criticism that comes with the job.

It's put or shut up time. He has had 4 years to get his bricks, but butch and his BSiA are the foundation, and unfortunately that foundation is cracking.

I like butch, I have had several meetings with butch and think he is a classy guy, but in the world of business you are paid to produce and college football, whether we like it or not is a business and unfortunately butch is not producing enough.

Some tough decisions are about to be made, his staff on offense needs a lot of changes, but most importantly his coaching philosophy is going to have to change.

Can I assume the meetings weren't about offensive scheming or mentoring Dobbs on the QB position?...:)

AS ALWAYS...GO VOLS!

I do think he needs new offensive line coach and conditioning coach. The line is horrible if no one blocks no matter what plays are called they wont work. No pass blocking no holes for running backs and everybody met in the backfield all night long

You sound like some of the clowns who were still saying Dooley needed more time after the UK disaster of 2011, which is about what I equate this loss to.

You're right, he's done to much for the program and he'll get another year. But, someone on the staff is done after the end of the season. Could it be Mahoney, Debord or both, I don't know. Really, we didn't look good on either side of the ball. It's Shoops' first year, he's safe for another season. We're outside looking in, these players, and coaches have an idea of what's going on. Now that I've had a night to sleep it off...I will say this, if we play the rest of the season, like we did last night, we probably have another loss this season. Another thought, I can't help but think there is a bad seed on the team that has ruined any and all chemistry. Bottom line, this team has huge problems right now!

I believe that Butch does need to change some things. He has held on to Mahoney way to long. Worst offensive line coach in the country. Coach Azzani is another dud. Debord dud. Offense needs revamped in a bad way. Defensively, injuries crushed our hopes. Strip has done a great job developing players. Thig gonna Thig. Martinez...not sold on him. Jury out on Shoop.

BS. Many of the guys Butch has recruited were also recruited by Alabama, Ohio State, Florida State, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, TAMU and Michigan. There is plenty of talent on this team.

PLENTY of talent!! Sure we've had more than our share of injuries but we have a wealth of talent, it's just not being used anywhere near what it should be! Play calling is heinous & both lines have played terrible most of the year.

Ya know if you really think about it, is muschamp the worse coach in the east? I mean he tooknover a crap team and slowly made the changes necessary to start winning, I'll say this much, he has taken at least three true freahmen qbs and beat us, at least he's not afraid to play the kids

Besides the lack of progression, uninspired play, and bad play calling, I can't see a scenario where this team will be better next year, to many quality players will have to be replaced.
