for your hard work and dedication the past 4 years. I personally appreciate the efforts you and your staff have made, and there is no doubt that the Vol Nation is in much better shape now than when you took over. For that we say, "Thank You".

Now it is time for you and the program to part ways. I wish you all the best in the future. I wish you could take us to the next level, but it just wasn't meant to be. Good luck Coach!

You're drunk or ate too much sodium so your bp is high. Get lots of fluids and a good night rest.

He deserves at least another year and if we totally sour on him then we ruin our chances, our recruits, and don't give him the chance he has worked for.

Maybe he parts ways with Debord and brings in a more creative play caller. That and another year of depth, plus JG or QD behind center might change your mind.

Remember that the negs are more wrong then they are right. Firing him is one of those wrongs.

I agree with this. Thanks for restocking the roster.

Yeah but what is the roster restocked with? It's not stocked with the talent needed to compete in the SEC. With the amount of hype surrounding this team they should have steamrolled everyone they've played minus Alabama.

Exactly right -- roster is not stocked with anything more than depth -- most should be recruited over

We need 3-5 OL every year until we have redshirted players who can develop and not play until their JR year. Playing freshmen across the line results in a MASH unit

I like Butch but he needs to tweak his systems and schemes or he will not survive another year

Why don't you send a moving van to CBJ's house and have them stop at yours on the way out of town!

I love Butch too and want him to succeed. But, think his offense is like the pitcher who goes thru his first year tearing it up, but then everyone scouts him up, and knows how to hit him the next time around. Folks have CLEARLY scouted up Dobbs and Debord, and our offense. The best offenses are the ones where the D knows what's coming and still can't stop them. Or the other option is you have a creative guru at OC, and keeps teams off balance. We don't have either.

You must be a hidden Georgia or Florida fan. Keeping Butch will only result in more down time. Blind luck on a hail Mary it's the only reason this isn't a 4 game losing streak.

He was supposed to compete for a national title, instead he couldn't beat a 4 loss uscjr ...

Good riddance, "coach"

If they come by my house I'll give them some adult diapers to take to you. Obviously you're too young or not smart enough to understand everything doesn't go our/your way.

If only our fans judge their lives how they judge our coaches.

Funny thing is some make YouTube vids about coaches in the basement of their mothers home. Like their so wise. Lol the irony of those guys.

BS. Many of the guys Butch has recruited were also recruited by Alabama, Ohio State, Florida State, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, TAMU and Michigan. There is plenty of talent on this team.

Ok neg Nancy. All your lives must be so perfect to not understand that he is moving this team forward. Just not as fast as some hoped.

I don't know...it's progressed to a point and appears to have stopped. They, for the most part, were flat and off tonight.

I'm not suggesting that we should fire him. Maybe "recruiting coordinator" would be a better position for Lyle Jones. Aside from an SEC without Nick Saban, Butch Jones will never win an SEC Championship. Maybe he will win the EAST.....are we (as UT fans) happy with that???? He won't do it in 2016.

Not me! Butch Jones could not win an FCS Championship with the talent he has recruited to Knoxville!

Wake up buddy; this team has ceased moving forward. The forward movement ceased on October 2, right after the "prayer" was answered.

The "Hail Mary" was all that was left in the tank.

So we win next week and become Bowl Eligible. Winning the SEC is gone. Let's hope we can be in a winnable bowl game.

If you're going to be thrilled with a win over UK or Vandy; then feel free to call me a negaVol. I'd prefer my VOLS to be prepared to compete with Alabama in the SEC championship.

The brand of football that CBJ brings is no longer exciting to me. May as well have never fired Fulmer.
