I will remember a lot of things during Pearls tenure but mostly the #2 Tennessee Vs #1 Memphis Game And the Elite 8 run. Thanks Coach Pearl for all the things you have done while at Tennessee.

this is a little out of context. Pearl didnt pay any players, he lied to the ncaa about a barbacue at his house (which is just a minor violation). The issue is that he lied to the ncaa. If he didnt this would not/will not be happening.

If you only new how many other coaches in the country do more than have a minor barbacue on the property of his own.

THANK YOU COACH PEARL!

You breathed life into a dead program, gave us so many great memories, and you deserved more support from our university. I'm sure you'll recover, UT basketball may not be so lucky.

Thank you, Coach for

a) 6 straight tournaments
b) for beating UM to become #1
c) being 'all Vol' to the end
d) but most of all, thank you for making men's basketball relevant where it had never been relevant before.

We will regret this day, the day we fired the wrong man, very soon. Perfect, you were not, but you embraced Tennessee from the day you stepped foot on this great campus.

Thanks Coach Pearl. You have giving us the best run ever. You are the best coach to ever wear the Orange. Tennessee will return to mediocrity, no doubt. My only hope is that Mike Hamilton will get the boot. Good luck wherever you end up and I will be rooting for you coach. You loved the school and gave us your all. Pay no attention to some of these inconsiderate fans on here. Tennessee fans are the hardest to please in the nation. Thanks again and good luck in the future. Make sure you watch us in the NIT.

I agree...Thanks for everything Bruce! I hate that it ended this way. Everything happens for a reason though. Best of luck!

Thanks, Coach -- for everything! This should have lasted longer (I'd like to kick you in the a$$ for doing something dumb like lie to the NCAA), but all-in-all ... you were an overwhelming net positive to the program and the university.

And you helped bring me a lot of good times! Thanks!

Lets not forget that the integrity of Pearl was in question when he was hired. His past was brought up as a point of concern when the University gave him his second chance. Stories were done describing how Pearl had made the best of his opportunity at UT prior to the allegations that have come to light. There is no piling on. Pearls charisma and coaching endeared him to myself and the UT faithful. But in the end this Tiger didn't lose his stripes, he merely camouflaged them with winning basketball, a sweet smile and a flair like non we've seen. I enjoyed the ride as much as any Vol fan, but in the end 6 years of riding high has now slapped us in the face with the presence of uncertainty.
