Is it possible that Hamilton is just throwing out a crazy # of false leads to throw everyone off. When he hired Kiffin he was very clandestine about everything. He had to act fast this time so there wasn't time to be secretive so he just let the rumors fly like crazy.

It's kind of like that recent episode of the office where Michael let a rumor get out and then started 20 false rumors so no one would know which one was real.

If you happened to watch the bears you would see that their defense (the most important aspect for their team by far) was decimated with injuries this whole season. Urlacher was out the whole season and many of their starters either missed games or played hurt. Cutler's stats look good but by actually watching the games I saw that many times his decision making would lose them a game they should have won. They would be up late in the game and he would throw a pick 6 into double coverage or things of that nature. Lovie is a great coach, who has been to super bowls and has a big time name that will save our recruiting class and has the ties to bring in some good assistants. He will easily be able to recruit he is Lovie Smith and he has been more successful than Pete Carroll, Spurrier, and Saban were in the pros and at least two of them have done pretty good since returning to college :p. Don't get me wrong the sec is by far the best conference but it isn't anywhere close to being as tough as the nfl. Lovie will do great if we can get him. By the way who do you want as coach?

Id rather have Quarles over Rankin if we are gonna go the local high school route.

I really hate rumors because i have fallen for many already, but i just think for the recent years, if we do not hire a big name we will lose almost every good recruit we have! Com on Lovie!
