I've counted at least 3 times where he's been open and Ramar Smith has passed him up to drive the lane and miss an out of control shot.

It also doesn't help that instead of trying to get the ball to Lofton, guys like Childress and Chism are jackin up 3's as soon as they get the ball.

I've noticed chris lofton being open on the three point line a couple times. Don't blame chris he cant do it on his own. Chism throwing up ugly 3's doesnt help as much either.

It was bound to happen some time. A stretch of Memphis, Western Kentucky, OK State, and Texas is kind of tough on such a young team, especially when we lose our PG.

It only takes a little momentum and this game could be turned around easily. For instance, I don't believe Texas will keep shooting 58% from 3, and I don't believe Tenn. will keep shooting just 29% from 3.

Lofton starts to warm up and Texas starts to cool down, and we're right in this game. Ain't over yet, but they need to start playing a lot better.

While I agree that he can't do it on his own, as Chris goes, the Vols go and he hasn't been anywhere close to impressive in this game.

I hope he can get something going here in the second half.

D is pretty much non existent - only 4 turnovers..

Texas is taking care of the ball really well, too... either that or the Vols just aren't putting enough pressure on them to force the turnovers.

Thanks for filling me in OWB. Do you think these young guys thought it might be easier especially with their performance against OKS the other night. Inconsistency wont get you far, I pray they have a better second half. I bet CBP throwing around the F bomb.

I agree, but 15 points is tough to overcome. Not impossible, just tough.

It's tough, but this team is very streaky. And with the amount of 3 pointers they take, if they start falling, 15 points isn't all that much to overcome.

I think it's just that Texas is having a blessed day so far. It's kind of like what we did to them last year, everything just kind of clicked. Texas is clicking and the Vols are just sloppy..

One more thing, Texas only had 4 turnovers in the first half. Some of that was our inability to score and force turnovers off of the score.

Yeah the Vols are streaky, I hope it's the good kind of streaky in the second half.

Bottom line: If Lofton starts hitting his 3's, the Vols will make it a close game. If not, we're screwed.
