Finally, our last tradition, after the game, win or lose, we walk down to Stefanos, get a slice and 32 ounce beer,
Man I loved me some Stefano's back in the day. I'm so happy it's still there. Especially with all the change on The Strip. Good call :good!:
watch ESPN and then decide if we are going to go to Cotton Eyed Joes, Old City or the Katch Traditions cant be broken right??? Lmao
Don't try to get them to go ALL THE WAY out to CEJ. It's fun when you get there, but after a full day of drinking its a bad call. Aggies would love the place, but a haul. Old City is a great alternative.
Note: This may be just me, but I am going to throw it out there, never get a Smokey dog at Neyland. They will tear you up.
HA!!!! :lolabove: FO SHO!!!!!!!! Just doesn't mix well in the belly with all that beer and whiskey.
What is the University of Tennessee most known for?
This depends on who you ask. For me, UT is big school that has a small school feel.
UT is not a big school when you look at it. Campus is very compact due to location, and has 25k-30k total student body including Grad students. Mid range size at most. Heck UTEX-San Antonio has over 30k and they just got a football team last yr. UGA and UF are up in the 40k. A&M is just shy of 50k, and so is UTjr. These are big schools both population, and land wise.
Its an average sized school based on attendance but campus definitely isn't compact compared to other schools that I've seen. Much larger than Vanderbilt, Clemson, Mtsu, Memphis, UK, or Auburn. Florida is the only campus that I've been on that's larger than UT.
This might be useful....
University of Tennessee Athletics: Gameday
Note locations of the Vol Walk and Band March (better known as the Salute To The Hill). The band stops at the corner of Andy Holt and Phil Fulmer for about 5 mins and gets the crowd fired up. Can someone post the approx before kickoff times for the walk and salute? I think it is 1:45 before game time and then 1:20 before game time. Please correct if I am wrong. After the salute, go inside the stadium, get you some peanuts and your first mixer of the day. Watch the band form the T. When the team comes out, look around you, if you don't see some tears, you aren't sitting next to Vol Fans!
Welcome Aggies!!
It's pretty compact IMO. Lsu isn't as compact, fla I agree with u, uga isnt as compact either iirc. Now compared to A&M which these thread is about our campus is very small. Compared to UTex we r a small campus, and also compared to many schools in TX. Just making sure they don't get a false idea of the campus.
Also I say it's compact because there is no room to grow out.

It will grow out by eating Fort Sanders.
Yeah that's what was talked about when I was on campus. Seems like its happening little by little, but for car garages. Ha! Are they Pac-manning Fort Sanders more and more now a-days? I'm sure it's just as sketchy as always, so the university and city would want it gone.
I will admit it's been a few yrs since I've been able to make it to campus. Even when I do I bee-line it to Fraternity Park to meet up with old friends, so I don't make it around to see the new upgrades.
The last big real estate push for campus was for sorority houses. The took that big piece of grassland between the ag campus and married student housing.
