Texas A&M game: who's going?

I hope you enjoy your time in Aggieland, it is a very special place to us Aggies and we take great pride in treating our guests well. As another poster said, you will be fed all of the food and drinks you can handle at our tailgates, just stop by and say hello. We root like hell for our team but want to respect our opponent and make sure our visiting fans feel welcomed.

wow, you already sound friendlier than any Gator or any Georgia Bulldog......Auburn in my 40 years of UT football are the meanest.....what Bar B Q joint you recommend?
Thanks and welcome to Big Orange Country....

Wear your vols gear and you will be force-fed food and drinks at all the tailgates. We are always nice to visitors.

A couple of you have mentioned this. I am going to have to test this theory and see what happens. :)

Hi volwindy,

Hopefully this FAQ answers your question.

thanks for the help. Kind of sucks we don't get tickets since I collect them from each place we go to. Hopefully one of the people around me will drop theirs on the ground.

Arrive in Houston at 8PM Friday night. Headed straight to College Station from the airport, staying at the Baymont Inn Bryan, and gonna hit up the bars Friday night. Is there Uber/Lyft available?

We have a parking pass for the Southside Garage. It is just me and my wife so we're not setting up any kind of tailgating. Was just planning on grabbing some beer and walking around. Is this a good strategy? Where is the best area to walk around and hang out at tailgates?

Looking forward to it!

Spence Park by the stadium or Reed Arena on West Campus. Southside garage is a tad bit of a walk from Spence (about 10 minutes).

I do the same and this will make my 12th SEC stadium to watch the Vols. I called the ticket office today and got them switched to will call so I could have a stub!

Good news. The first real cold front is due to past through College Station on Friday.

Game day weather should be glorious. Low of 57. High around 82.

And yes..... That's a cold front around here.

Grabbed a spot in the Central Campus Garage. Does that sound like a decent spot to park?

You got the 8am back to BNA Sunday morning as well?

Hmm, interesting! Did you buy from flash seats too?

I may be mistaken, but the ticket/stub received from the ticket booth will probably be a plain black and white printed version and not one of the high quality originals sent out to season ticket holders. If you are looking for one of those for your souvenir (and you don't mind that it doesn't have your exact seat location) I'd recommend making friends with some Ags before the game or just asking after it is over. I'm guessing it won't be too hard to find someone willing to give you one; perhaps barter with some Vols swag in exchange.

Anyone have recommendations for parking on the west side of campus? Coming in from Austin and don't mind walking a bit to stay out of post game gridlock. I've seen some surface lots near the George Bush library that look like good options.

I prepaid for a parking spot in Central Campus Garage. Is this a good location?

Let me provide some expertise here.

90% of our tailgating takes place in Spence Park and West campus... I've posted a link to our parking area and map.

Central Campus Garage is probably a 10 minute walk to Spence and 15-20 to West Campus.

CCG is really a commuter garage for folks on school days.

If you look on the map, CCG is half red/half green and is surrounded by "PAV, HLB and SCC" near the intersection of Spence and Lubbock streets.

Spence Park is the Green and White shaded area to the SW of there close to Kyle Field and West Campus is West of Kyle Field across Wellborn.
