Texas A&M game: who's going?

Just booked flight into Houston and hotel for the weekend. Is anyone planning on tailgating? It is just me and my wife so don't really want to do a whole big setup for just 2 of us. Will definitely contribute beer/food.

Now just have to get tickets...

Got my tickets at Ticket City...their fees were much lower than anywhere else we shopped. StubHub was freaking crazy on the fees. Just a heads up.

looking through this thread, im surprised how many we have making the trip. Going to be a lot of orange there! Chavis is going to want to switch sidelines!

I'm not surprised considering we travel well and the fact that it will be a long time to play at A&M again.

Flying to Denver on Oct 1st, touring the Rockies and viewing the Aspens while traveling to Mew Mexico and western Texas. Spending a couple of days in San Antonio before traveling to Rockdale Texas which is about 50 miles from Kyle Field. After the game we will work our way back to Denver for return trip. We don't have tickets for the game yet however we did not receive a Email turning down our request for four tickets.

Is anyone going to be leaving from Austin to head to game on Saturday?? Looking to hitch a ride to Aggieville

Any idea where our tailgating will be?

Hello Marine

A friend of mine got tickets a couple of weeks ago, although I have not checked what seats.

I drove by the Manor Inn a couple of weeks ago and it looked closed without a vehicle in the lot and quite rundown. Sure enough last week my friend says he got a room at the Manor Inn. There is probably a reason they still have rooms available atp, although like $230 for a night.

Just would not expect much of this hotel, although we may be pleasantly surprised. Probably just a place to lay our heads after a sweet victory.:salute:

I know a few other's had been asking, so I contacted the Aggie's Ticket Office.

The Tennessee Sections are as follows,
Sections 409-412, Row 26 and Higher.
Sections 418-421, Row 26 and Higher.
Section 350, Row 28 and Higher.
The entirety of sections 130 and 131.

I also asked if there was a date that they would start selling individual game tickets, and she said they are still selling season tickets, and couldn't give me a solid date on when individuals would go on sale.

I was curious about when theirs would go on sale too. She just didn't want to give up the info to a UT fan. :)

Haha. I'm going to keep checking back so hopefully I can get tickets.

She also said the midnight yell would be open for visiting fans to attend, and encouraged me to come for what that's worth.

Anyone getting a tailgate together? It's just me and my wife so we don't want to do a whole big setup for just us 2 so we are looking for one to join! Will gladly pitch in food/beer/cash

Thanks brother. We switched hotel bc we were seeing more and more reviews which did not add up to such a high price.

Im just wondering about the tailgating now. I know its a early game but new stadium so we have to tailgate.

Thinking about going to this game. Anyone know what else there is to do in that area of Texas? Any nice resorts around to make a week long trip out of it? How are the beaches in Texas?

You might check out the Hyatt Lost Pines. It's probably 1 1/2 hours from College Station. Lots of nice resorts around San Antonio and Austin. Probably Houston and Dallas too but I'm not as familiar with those areas.

The best beaches are a ways from there. South Padre Island is best. Corpus Christi area is ok. I'd stay away from the Galveston area due to dirty water.
