Anybody tried this? I have a tether app that I can run my PS3 with from my phone. I would imagine Id have alot of glitch issues. Just wondering if anyone else has tried.

That and data caps. I would imagine that you would hit the 4GB rather soon if you are using it for gaming.

My phone gets about 6mbs on 3G & my home Internet is a little slower than that. My online gaming is smooth. Somehow I just don't see it working out that great. If you're on a capped plan it will eat it up pretty quick & if you're on unlimited they will throttle you for excessive usage which is a crock.

Just saying thats the fastest I have ever seen a 3G phone....ever. You must live right next to a server

3-4 is about as low as it goes around the house & work. There's a lot of towers around not sure which server I actually use, Columbia, Asheville, or Shelby. I live near a pretty busy section of I-85 not sure if that has much to do with it.

When I had my 4, I averaged about 4.5 when I was in a great coverage area....about double that now with HSPA+.....anyway tethering to a PS3 or 360 wouldnt be worth in imo unless you had absolutely no other options.

I assume that's double with the galaxy & not the 4S & yea tethering to a phone would be an absolute last option.

I have a EVO 3D. No iPhone for me. I was just goingto try it out as I can't get internet here til the end or the month.

If possible just slip you're neighbor a 20 & ask to piggyback their wifi until you get straightened out.

I have had to do this before I moved bc my internet was always going out, so I ended up dropping them. I didn't need an app the ps3 will pick your phone up in the search. It did with mine anyway. I have a 4g, but was only getting low 3g at that location. It did ok, but could be a pain most of the time

Yeah I just moved in. So I dont know any of my neighbors yet. I did search for a wireless and found an unsecured network but it was a very poor connection.
