Terry Joseph officially going to Nebraska

I lol at the haters saying its because of Dooley

You morons dogged Dooley for hiring Joseph to begin with, wanted him gone this season because of the secondary play.

Now you miss him and claim hes leaving because Dooley is doomed

Frickin morons

:salute:

I guess it has nothing to do with the fact he has less than a 2 month relationship with everybody on the defensive staff now and he has very good relationships with at least 2 people on Nebraska's staff.

Why didn't Joseph accept on the spot if he didn't want to coach with Dooley anymore?

spot on getting in here and defending dooley to the end. since you love him so much will you leave when he does?

ha yeah cause why would anyone say anything negative about dooley when only 7 coaches jumped ship...thats right b they jumped ship...deal with it. just wait till we see who the next no name replacement will be...maybe we can steal somebodys head grounds crewman to be in charge of our recruiting. put your magic "nothing is wrong" spin on this like you try to do with everything else.:good!::clapping::loco:

regardless of why he left he sucked as a coach. our db's were terrible. hope we upgrade and move on . Former good db's have wondered what our db's were being taught by him. do not know if CDD wanted him to stay or not but I for one say, "CTJ do not let the Big Orange door hit you in the ass on the way out".

One of the better takes I've seen on this subject:

A lot of folks around here were Fulmer-ized into thinking that assistant coaches were tenured, lifetime jobs. In most programs, they come and go. The only losses we had were Sirmon and maybe Thompson. Sirmon was joined to Wilcox at the hip so there was no way to keep him.(End)

I think that is spot on. Beef and the other Fulmersexers will never think another person could coach here and therefore anything a new coach does is wrong especially when dead weight underperforming asst coaches are kept on staff and lauded as geniuses. Sanders, Caldwell, Brooks, Slade, Washington, Adkins, Stephens.

Jump ship? Some of you make me laugh. But then again, you'd be the same person b****ing and moaning if the staff had stayed the same.

Isn't Pelini kinda on the hot seat now due to Nebraska not being able to get over the hump of not being in a BCS bowl? It's not like he went there just in fear of massive turnover here when the same could be in place in the corn fields. Maybe being in the Big-10 with all the horrendous passing games will cover up his pedestrian coaching skills.

Why did he keep Joseph?!! Now, why didn't he keep Joseph?!!

I saw no evidence TJ was a great coach, so here is an opportunity to procure one

Some others have alluded to this so I'll blatantly throw it out there. Every coach (except Baggett) who left our program was sought by other name brand programs around the country. They all took these jobs, I'm sure for various reasons. Many want to say they all left to get off a sinking ship. I see another very important similarity.

Everyone one of them went to places where it's easier to compete!

Unlike many who post here, I know a thing or two about college football coaches. They ain't stupid. Some will try to say this why so many left Dooley. We have to realize they didn't leave Dooley, they left Tennessee. Coaching in the SEC is otherworldly. If you are not completely confident in your own ability, you get out before your rep. is shot. If we upgrade again, this will be forgotten in a week.

i have a question. im a dooley supporter, though at this point im a little cautious to say i love the guy or anything. so dont take this the wrong way and slam me for being a nega-vol but how is it that the fact that joseph was our recruiting coordinator is thrown out the window like it doesnt even matter yet alot of ppl act like its a huge deal and a great thing that dooley served in the same position at lsu. am i missing something? why was it a big accomplishment for him but means nothing for joseph?

This does not really answer your question but LWSVol said that Dooley has basically been our recruiting coordinator from the start and Joseph just had the title.

Oh oh! Columbia vol is gonna remember your name and make fun of you while sucking up to his idol countchocula.

how bad would it hurt the stability of the program to go ahead and replace DD and JC.there the only 2 thats left, right now its almost like a new coaching all over again.DD has a 5 mill bye out,but its the same for 2013 to.And can some one please tell me what this MASTER PLAN IS that u speak of.

Sorry man.... you mentioned replacing dooley... you're now a negavol for life. They ask you to wear an orange N but you don't have to. Stand strong my friend.

i love my vols i just hate 5-7 years.CDD even signed my hat.real nice guy,not so sure about coach yet..just saying..

Seems pretty obvious to me. Either Dooley did the worst job of picking assistants when he got here (read upgrading coaches) or the rats are jumping a sinking ship (read as program in worse shape than it appears). Pick one and stick with it.

of course, when people point out that dooley's time as recruiting coordinator under nick saban meant squat, no one want to accept that.

terry joseph's title was meaningless.

dooley, however, was responsible for every player that was signed while he was recruiting coordinator for saban.

saban hasn't been able to recruit since.
