I think I said 20 in that predictions thread. I really think UT is just a more talented team. I am hopeful the coaching, development, and preparation issues have been resolved.

Spot on. Too much talent and all year to prepare, I see UT running away with it.

3.5...................... a lot of things can happen in this first game for both, but we just have more horses than they do.... UT by more than a TD is good money...
Folks are talking about our D line... they will be fine as they will not run up the middle. Our DE's, LB's, Nickel, and DB's are going to have to play lights out. I'd keep man coverage and make them throw.

We could put 9 in the box all game and beat them that way with the first, second and probably even third string all by 5 points or more. (17+ wit first string)

J/w why do you say we won't run inside? That's our bread and butter when we get it going. Do you think we won't try or we won't be able to? J/w...the guy who will probably start against y'all at QB is more of a inside runner than outside.

You fellas that think this is going to be a run-away Vols win you are misteaken. Go back and watch the GT-Vandy, GT-MSU, GT-Georgia games. GT can run the ball and until we prove we can stop the run this year I am not going to think otherwise.

Funny. I was gonna fix that post too, but really didn't want to get anything started.

I consider KB to be mostly level headed and reasonable. In my opinion he can be critical and make some excellent points without seeming "negative". But he can 'Nega' with the best of'em.:)

The fixed post wasn't aimed at KB. I would almost say if we lose and come out of it with no DL injuries it is still a win. Almost.

someone fill me in on GT's secondary, is Dormady going to be able to take advantage of them in the air?

Our secondary is our strength on D. Return all 4 starters. 3 SR and 1 JR.

Corey Griffin at S is our leading tackler.

Our issue has been getting pressure on the QB so that he doesn't have all day in the pocket.

You happened to know the size of the 4?

I think all the people predicting a 10 point win have the right idea. How the line gets you is GT gets a TD very late in the game to make it a 3 point lead and then we don't have an incentive to score, so we just (try to) run the clock.

I'm thinking a 10 point win too, but I could see some sort of late cover for GT.

We actually play a 4-2-5.
Lance Austin is a CB hes 5'10 188 he was tied for the most pass break up this past year in the acc. (Senior)

Lawerence Austin is his twin and plays the nickel he's 5'9 187. (Senior)

Steph Durham is a CB and is 5'11 194 (senior)

Corey Griffin is a safety and is 6'2 199 (senior)

AJ gray is the other safety and is 6'1 218 (junior)

Lamont Simmons is our 3rd CB and is 6'2 202 (junior) he transferred from USC a few years ago.

But if we can't get to the QB it won't matter how good these guys are.
