I think this team has the pieces to win a game, maybe two or more depending on match ups.

I don't think that's what will happen though. I think we lose in game one.

I would love to see us get in as an 11 or a 12, beat the 5 or 6 and then play our hearts out in the round of 32.

I think people are misunderstanding this post. Or maybe I don't realize how miserable I sound.

I'm saying that I'm not going to watch us in the play in game. Just as I didn't watch us in the NIT last season. As always, I'll root for UT to win.

As for my prediction, that's how I feel. I have zero confidence in this team. The only thing they do with any consistency is be inconsistent. Because we will see a quality team in our first game, I predict it will go the same way our other games vs quality opponents have gone this year. Not only that, CCM has never won a game vs a team with a pulse in the SEC tourney. Not only that, iirc we've played in 3 in season tournaments where we lost our first game. Duke in Maui, ok state somewhere last year (could be wrong on this one), and UTEP this year.

Now tell me how I'm outta line by predicting a first round loss.

VCU will be at 8 or so and St. Louis will be a 6 or so. You do realize both are in the top 25 correct?

We will be an 11 or 12.

UNC, UCONN, Ohio State, UCLA, Oklahoma, VCU, Saint Louis, New Mexico, Texas, Baylor and UMASS.

One of those is likely our opponent if we aren't in a play in game.

I really think people are using the 5 game winning streak as the case for us when in all fairness, our résumé is no where near impressive at all

Looks like a play in game or not in at all. I have always hated the expansion from 64 to 68. To me, if you lose the play in then you are not really a NCAA tourney team. If we don't get into the field of 64 by winning play in or selection, then time to let CCM go. Our streak was against teams we should've killed all year. No X and O confidence in CCM regardless. If we get into field of 64 or maybe even the play in game, then he stays. However, he is not the answer in long time success at this level in my opinion.

Have not said much recently but think he is not the answer. Really wanted us to beat Florida and get in and win a couple. If committee is smart, we should be in the 64 and then it is up to this team to win some games.

I'm guessing a 10 seed. But I hope hope hope hope HOPE we land in the Midwest region as an 11 seed since ill be in Orlando!!!
